Executive Board Responsibilities*
Responsible for the overall direction of FLiE
You set the tone and the pace for next year’s freshmen members
You will be a first point of contact from Iowa State for many of the incoming, engineering freshmen – what a great opportunity! Slide3
President
Establish meeting schedule, agenda, and preside over meetings
Meet weekly with the FLiE Advisor (Amy)
Continue to develop new and existing relationships with engineering-related companies (Garmin, 3M, Rockwell Collins, Vermeer, etc.)
Attend weekly Engineering Student Council (ESC) exec meetings and report FLiE’s progress to ESCSlide4
VP of Committees
Take over duties of the FLiE President in the event of the President’s absence
Oversee FLiE committees and preside over FLiE executive board meetings
Organize FLiE reunion in the Fall
Contact university leadership (e.g., Dr. Hill, Leslie Potter) to speak at FLiE meetings
This position is really what you make of it
You can do as much or as little as you wantSlide5
VP of VEISHEA
Oversee FLiE’s construction of the College of Engineering’s VEISHEA float
Guide the VEISHEA co-chairs (and build group leaders) through the planning and building process
Make sure that FLiE’s float is registered and in compliance with all the necessary rules/paperwork required by the VEISHEA parade committee Slide6

Why you are qualified
What you plan on doing if elected (i.e., goals
)
Positions will be elected in the order they were presented
