A

t present, the control of fixed conversion time is widely used in each intersection traffic light in urban.

For single intersection, we usually uses timing control scheme, which is based on the historical data of the traffic flow,

artificially

distributed the traffic light time in N-S and E-W direction

in advance

Introduction

However, actual observation indicates that the vehicle flux is unbalanced between highs and lows of the traffic flow.

Fuzzy control can control the random and complex urban traffic effectively as it doesn’t need to build accurate mathematical model.Slide6
