What is Biodiversity?. All living things in a food web are connected.. If the numbers of one species are affected it affects the numbers of all other species in the food web.. If the numbers of baboons decreased then this would affect every other living things in the food web.. By Amy Heelan. Biodiversity !!. Biodiversity is all the living things on our planet .. Here are some examples, plants , animals and insects.. We should nurture and care for our planet as it is so important to us. . Dimension . &Climate Change. Session 3. : . The effects of flooding on biodiversity. Session 3 Objectives:. All. pupils will recognise the impact of flooding on species of plants and animals in flood hit areas. . Please Do Now: 1) . What is the difference between the sapwood and the heartwood?. 2) What does the phloem do for plants?. Agenda. Do Now. Quickly Finish Tree Rings. Introduction to Reproduction. Experimental Design Mondays. By . Vaibhavi Apte. Biodiversity ???. Diversity = variety. Bio= living. Thus, variability among living organisms from all sources including inter alia, terrestrial, marine & other aquatic ecosystems and ecological complexes of which they are part of. . Abstract. Question. Salinity kit. Soil testing kits. pH test (water and soil). Thermometer. Materials. Data. Conclusions. Our hypothesis was that if there is a change from freshwater to saltwater, then the tidal plant species in each area will differ. The data collected from our experiment helped support our hypothesis. In our findings we saw that in the freshwater location, there was a greater amount of biodiversity and the plants were generally larger. On the other hand, we saw that in the saltwater location, the banks had less biodiversity and consisted with only Phragmites. One explanation for this is for the fact that the abundance of freshwater in the freshwater location allowed for a large variety of large plants to live in this area. However, only a thin layer of freshwater on the surface of the water was present at the saltwater location, which minimized the diversity of plant life that could live in this area. This minimized the competition in this area, allowing it to be overrun by Phragmites plants. . Modern cell theory. Keep in mind that:. All living things are made up of one . or . more cells.. The . cell . is . the basic unit of life.. All cells come from preexisting cells. Just as cells reproduce as part of the Cell Cycle, living organisms reproduce as part of the life cycle.. Life Cycle. Life Cycle. – the development of an organism from fertilization to birth, growth, reproduction, and death.. The life cycle of every organism has these 4 main stages. 1. . Birth. – the act of bringing forth offspring.. Iran - Tehran . In The Name Of God . Biodiversity. . Global Issues: Environment Learning . Circle . 1 (Middle/High School. ). By: Amirali Karami. How do seedless plants reproduce?. How do seed plants reproduce?. How can you identify fruits?. ACTIVITY. 20 . million species. . of organisms.
