DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL TECHNICAL GUIDELINES

UNICEF GHANA developed WASH Technical Guide by hiring a consultant who interviewed some Directors at the GHS headquarters They wanted Ghana Health Service to implement the developed document. The WASH Technical Committee indicated that the document was not known by GHS. There was the need to expose the document to Managers and Directors at the regions and headquarters for their input and ownership so that it can be implemented.

This was agreed and the Technical working group had an initial meeting with national WASH/IPC master trainers.

subsequent meetings included other headquarters divisions, REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES

This was to orient them on the document and seek for their input to simplify the wording and make it user friendly
