17. Sensitization Webinars on Safeboards Standards (contd..)NCCF_GB Meeting17NCCF, in association with Haryana Plywood Manufacturers Association (HPMA), hosted 2nd sensitization webinar on “Safeboards Standards: Composite Wood Products Certification for Better Indoor Air Quality” on March 10, 2021

18. Public Consultation on Safeboards StandardsNCCF_GB Meeting18Public consultations is a way for improvisation of draft standards before finalization irrespective of stakeholders’ involvement. It takes into account feedback of public at large, and in turn helps as a tool for information dissemination. The provisional Zero Draft Standards (NCCF-STD-SBCS-V0.3/2021) were uploaded on NCCF's website for 60-days for Public Consultations [Consultations Period: February 5, 2021 till April 6, 2021]Comments received during Public Consultation“BIS is using 13745 testing method (perforator with titration) and Safeboards is using chamber method. I think both organizations need to be on the same platform to avoid confusion in the local market.”- By Mr. B S Sabherwal, Century Plyboards India Ltd.

19. Pilot Testing of Safeboards StandardsNCCF_GB Meeting19Expression of Interest Published on NCCF Website for Pilot Testing‘Pilot Testing’ is an essential step in the assessment and validation of an intervention and is a prerequisite to determine the practicality and relevance of any Standards developed

20. Pilot Testing of Safeboards Standards (contd..)NCCF_GB Meeting20Pilot Testing is an essential approach to get feedback from the stakeholders during the implementation of the draft Standards through test audit of composite wood product manufacturers.Pilot testing not only provides necessary information for approval of draft Standards but is also a valuable method to determine impacts/results derived on the basis of the requirements of Standards This approach is used to assess the efficacy and feasibility of Zero Draft Standards and based on the evidence, its implementation at the ground level Assessment was done and indicated as per the following parameters: O: Observable NO: Non-Observable NA: Not Applicable Sequential Steps followed for Pilot Testing

21. NCCF_GB Meeting21 Pilot testing was conducted for two composite wood manufacturers (remote assessment amid COVID-19) against Safeboards Standards, V 0.3Outcomes/Findings of Pilot Testing With successful completion of Pilot Testing, it was concluded that all requirements of Zero Draft of Safeboards Certification Standards are fully verifiable. For correlation calculations, correlation values were taken as determination factors. Pilot Testing of Safeboards Standards (contd..)
