Body Features

~ Tentacles (6 – 20) are used to paralyze and pull food in, like Pseudopods. They also act like eyes since the Hydra has no eyes. Their body nears about 5mm. It is also a multicellular organism.

~ Its main body has snake like features, and near its tentacles is has a mouth, or hypostome. Slide3

Movement

~Since the hydra has no brain or vision, the hydra moves by attaching

their tentacles to an object, then dragging or somersaulting their bodies forward. Slide4

~The primary food source is the water flea, as they are large in population
