To extend the naturalistic flow of the green connecting area that traverse North and South, the pedestrian bridge was placed. By installing a bridge, the aim was not only to link two facilities (
Jungang
Park and the Green area connector) due to the Festival Street and also for the viewing function and streetscape characterization so that it could act as a landmark. The pedestrian pathway in western business area is connected with Festival Street, through that linkage the green area connector flows into the sunken plaza. Slide4

The project exploits the chance to build against the city battlements so as to redefine the physical and perceptual boundaries of the area. The concept of an external perimeter was reinforced by creating a bastion which serves both as a small city park and school building. As a result this emphasizes the sense of protection offered to the inhabitants by the military nature of the construction, while the fortifications have been remodelled
for the new buildings and uses required. The entire design makes the area extremely accessible.Slide6

Sleep by Jane Hutton & Adrian
Blackwel
Location: Metis Garden Festival
Years of exhibition: 2009, 2010, 2011
Dymaxion
Sleep is a structure of nets suspended over a field of aromatic plants. Rather than walking through the garden, visitors lie on top of it, translating the typically solitary experience of a garden into a public event.Slide8

Years
: 1999-2011
Open parkland consisting of just three main ingredients: grass, pavement, and scattered trees. From these ingredients the pavement got particular attention as it was
ideal to both allow residents and passers-by to wander freely through space and to make Funen’s outdoor space distinct from its surroundings.Slide9

: 2003-2005The base of the stream is treated with a rough structure that reduces the flowing speed of the water and creates a constant reflective pattern on the water surface. A distinctive composition of sharp edged stepping stones refers to the randomness of natural processes and is also a reference to the fireworks explosion.Slide12

Tram stop in Alicante by SUBARQUITECTURA
Location
:
Rotonda
de Sergio Cardell, Alicante, Spain
Years: 2005-2007Building the Tram stop was an opportunity to give back to the city a space that had been taken from it; transform a roundabout in a
public square. The frontal access to the platforms is reached in 32 possible ways trought a fractionated system of paths that get round the existing vegetation. Over them, two hollow boxes, 36 meters long, 3 meters wide and 2.5 meters high, create a floating emptiness slightly above the travelers’ heads in a scale closer to the Tram than to the street furniture.Slide13
