Job Description – Receptionist Provide efficient and courteous receptionist and t elephonist services to the High Commission . Manage main switchboard and reception area. Refer enquires to relevant section. Maintain an awareness of all publicised upcoming events, staff absences and appointments, to ensure accuracy of information given to clients. Manage conference room bookings and telephone call logger accounts. Maintain records of outgoing mail despatched via courier. Manage flight and hotel reservations as re quested by staff . Assist Protocol Section with preparation of customs exemptions and no objection certificates. Others duties as directed. Selection Criteria Demonstrated switchboard experience with the ability to operate a telephone system in a court eous and pleasant manner. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and an ability to work cooperatively in a team and undertake administrative duties under limited supervision. Demonstrated initiative and a flexible approach to issues. Ability to work well und er pressure, plan and organise workloads to meet deadlines. Demonstrated customer service skills of a high order. Demonstrated high level of competency and confidence in using IT systems, including the Microsoft Office programs and capacity to learn new programs quickly.
