PrEP Case Scenario A 37 yo single gay male patient comes to your clinic. He has been celibate for the past 5 years but has recently met someone online and will be meeting him face to face for the first time, in a week. The patient is STD-free and has only had four previous sexual partners. The new boyfriend has had numerous sex partners over many years, including 3 within the past year. The patient is concerned about his risk of exposure to STDs, especially HIV. He has heard of the PrEP prophylaxis program for those at high risk of HIV exposure. He is interested but has questions. Use Clinical eCompanion to find answers.
