Local and regional administrations are in charge of developing integrated social inclusion strategies to help migrant children turning 18 be part of our societies including access to education, accommodation, housing, healthcare and psychosocial support.

However, the fragile balance between child protection and control of migratory flows often implied challenges to public administrations, especially at regional and local level.During this session, different best practices at local level will be presented and discussed among participants will be fostered to reflect on best integrated plans to support the transition to adulthood of migrant children turning 18.2Local strategies supporting their transition to adulthood

number of arrivals of young migrants has only doubled in the last two years (2017-2018) compared to the previous year, reaching 3,659 arrivals in 2018.
