Library moves to City Hall (1916). Wigginton Creed donates lot for use as site for a branch library (1917). Dedication of Pittsburg Library at 220 East Ninth Street (1926). City

passes bond issue to construct a new library (1963). County Board of Supervisors accepts $51,666 federal Library Services and Construction Act gr ant for Pittsburg Branch Library construction (1965). Friends of the Pittsburg Library organizes (1966). Groundbreaking cerem onies (June 22, 1966). County Board of Supervisors esta blishes County Service Area LIB- 9 to provide financing for construction costs (1966). Vincent A. Davi Memorial (Pi ttsburg Branch 80 Power Ave.) Library opens (April 24, 1967). Dedication of Library (May 20, 1967). City of Pittsburg funds additi onal library hours

(FY1994/95- present). Created new Green Zone and teen space (2010). Construction of Library renovation starts (March 2012).
