BAUER TAKES US TITLE NUMBER 10! Rossignols John Bauer rampaged to a 42 second victory in the Mens 10 km classic Wednesday. The onslaught of a sudden driving snowstorm unsettled wax technicians and athletes alike as the conditions changed in a matter of minutes. Bauer credited properly fitted skis (Rossignol Xium Klister Flex) and the Toko wax technicians for helping him to victory. The Rossignol team using Toko glide (LF Moly, HF Red/Yellow mix, JetStream New Snow) and kick waxes (Basewax Green, Carbon Gripwax Dark Red, Carbon Gripwax Dark Blue) had a great day placing 3 in the top 4 in the mens field. Justin Wadsworth placed second ahead of Justin Freeman and Patrick Weaver. Katerina Hanusova who skis for the University of Nevada Reno and who will be representing the Czech Republic in the 2002 Olympic games, won the womens 5 km classic race in front of DU skier Tara Hamilton and US Ski Team members Nina Kempell and Wendy Wagner. Bauer, Freeman, Weaver, Hanusova, and Hamilton all use Yoko gloves and poles. Wadsworth uses the Yoko 232 System. (These are the top 2 women and top 4 men in the race). Katerina Hanusova John Bauer
