 Onkgopotse Tiro Comprehensive was established In 2005. It became the flagship programme/project of the Premier NW targeting learners from farm areas.  The school started with 600 learners and only catered for Grade 1- 10. It therefore underwent a progress of additional classes till Grade 12 in 2007, the school achieved 24% in Grade 12 results which promoted the Department acknowledge that much circular competence.The track record of the new Principal speak for itself in school he served.The advent of 2008 saw a sharp rise in learner enrollment to 976 and new teachers introduced to school to address key curriculum issues and School Management effectiveness HISTORY

Onkgopotse Tiro CS is a high performing, multi- cultural school recognized by NWED for excellent Academic standards and outstanding care and discipline. The school achieved 84% in 2010 Grade 12 Results Onkgopotse Tiro CS works indirect partnership with Taletso FET College and University of North West in securing a number of places annually for students on a wide range of courses.The school offers equally strong vocational routes into Further Education and Training.Each child in our community is unique and equally valued for the their culture and contributions. Onkgopotse Tiro Comprehensive welcomes learners of any race. To all rights , privilegesProgrammes and activities generally accorded or made available to learners in the school.  Learners must demonstrate a sincere dire to study and be educated and willingness to adhere to the school policies adapt to its social and cultural programmes. Any learner who requires special needs beyond school’s scope will be admitted based on Area Office and District Office permission.The school Principal and / or Admission Committee will review all application before they are accepted as learners who are not accepted will be notified through writing to parents.Should it be necessary for a learner to withdraw or transfer during the year, we request thatParents / guardians and learners come to the Office of the Principal to complete the following:1.Transfer Form 2.Reciept of last Quarter Academic report 3.Conset form 4.Forwading Address of new school NEW ADMISSION The age of admission in the Foundation Phase (first Grade) is (5½) five and half years of age on or before June of the current school year.The District Office may exceptions to this policy based upon its own considerations. All new learners must submit the following :1.Application Form2.Official School Report if from another school 3.Immunisation Form (Clinic copy) ADMISSION POLICY

4.Copy of parents / Guardians Identity Document 5.Birth Certificate 6.ID copyGenerally, learners transferring from another school will be placed in the Grade assigned by previous school after necessary records have been obtained. N.B. The Provision of a Resident Medical trained Nurse is of utmost importance noting the high number of learners in the Hostel and health challenges faced by learners.
