Falsified Medicines: A Issue of Public Health… Available figures indicate that falsified medicines represent over 10% of the medicines world markets. In Central and Western Africa the percentage can reach over 50%.The problem is spreading worldwide due particularly to the growing of sales on line . At the European borders, falsified medicines accounted for 10.10 % of the customs seizures in 2013 (1.33 % en 2006).
