cotton
for 2014
in America has dropped to it’s lowest since 2011 when cotton prices where at an all time high because of drought. The price are also set to drop even lower as government forecasters predict more the rainfall, increasing their last estimate for U.S. cotton output to 16.5 million 480-pound bales. To add to this there is also a lower demand for cotton.This decrease in price is obviously good for any textile company.
However this is
particularly good for Levi
as it is a company that
prides itself
on
good quality
durable clothing and even though
customers
have become
used to
jeans with a composition with a higher content of
cheaper elastic materials in it they can still use the quality of the cotton in the jeans as a marketing point.
