#StudentsofAmerica: Q: "What is the discipline policy like at this school?"

A: "Let me put this in perspective for you. Last year we found a snapping turtle on the way to school that was pretty big and let it loose in the girl's bathroom. Didn't get in trouble"

Q: "Was this like a senior prank?"A: "Nope, just like a regular prank"South Carolina High School Student

#StudentsofAmerica: “For some people, it's hard to know who to go to at school with problems that you have. You want to tell the teachers but the teachers might tell others. You want to tell your friends but they will definitely tell others. Sometimes I end up just talking to myself about it all.” -West Virginia Elementary School

Slide4

#StudentsOfAmerica: “We do not have a diverse teaching staff. It's mostly white. And I think that's hard for some students because they feel like they can't identify or relate to their teachers. It's hard to build a relationship with someone when you have nothing in common with them.”

-Pittsburgh High School Student

#StudentsofAmerica:“Project-based learning is interesting. I did a project once on nuclear energy and by the end of the year I didn't realize it, but I had learned so much about nuclear energy”.-South Carolina High School Student

#StudentsofAmerica: "If I look tired it's because last night I got home from work at

2 am and I had finals today. I work as a mechanic because my family doesn’t make much money so my income goes to help make sure my sister has school supplies and our lights stay on. But I also enjoy it. I read that people who enjoy mindless labor work tend to be people that think too much…. I think I fall into that category."

-Kentucky High School Student
