slide2. What is Low GWP ? Definition of High / Low GWP is proposed in the XXI/9 report, UNEP Technology & Economic Assessment Panel & Not yet finalized
Low : < 300 , Moderate: 300-1000 , High : > 1,000

In absence of clear definition it is not possible to classify, decide and adopt refrigerants in products

EU “F” Gas regulation has set GWP limits based on RAC sub category emphasis on Refrigeration which is high consumption and refrigerant used has high GWP

SNAP has also recommended based on end use
slide3. Alternatives emerging HFC 32 ( A2L Moderate GWP is one of the HFC ) : Commercially adopted for last two to three years by few Japanese companies, estimated usage 3.5 to 4 % of world Room AC production.

HC 290 ( A3 Low GWP ): In use for last 3 years adopted by one company , estimated 100,000 units in three years in 120 Million world production per annum (0.025 %)

HFC 446A/ 447A : Development stage

HFO : Sufficient information not available in public domain
