Ashford Rural Primary Care Network Education project Highly collaborative PCN with a shared vision and aims
Positive attitude towards training and upskilling
Commitment by the managers, GP teams and their colleagues to develop team members and deliver focussed training
Desire to make time to attend and provide training on a regular basis
Opportunity to request particular subjects of interest or where there is a knowledge gap
Well established CEF team
Cross PCN clinical supervision for GPs, ANPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, social prescribers and admin teams
Bringing in line process and procedures across the PCN
Use of MS teams to store recordings of education sessions in a library of learning accessible to everyone in the PCN and new trainees as well as education stream sharing Fortnightly cross PCN education sessions on a Friday lunch time
External speakers including specialist nurses, Consultants and our own clinical teams
PCN PLT twice per year with subjects including eating disorders, learning disabilities and pathology
Registrar tutorials across the PCN bi-monthly with GP colleagues imparting knowledge from their own fields of expertise
KMMS training programme provided by the PCN GP trainer team
Dedicated existing surgery and PCN team members provide training on a multitude of subjects including social care, medical terminology and coding<br>
