Revolution – the time it takes for the Earth to complete 1 orbit around the sun.<br>
slide3. What is Rotation? Rotation – the Earth rotates around its axis once every 24 hours.
This is what causes night and day!<br>
slide4. What Causes the Seasons? Due to its axial tilt, Earth experiences seasons during its revolution around the sun.<br>

slide6. The Phases of the Moon The phases of the moon are caused by its position relative to Earth and the sun.
The phases of the moon include the new, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full, waning gibbous, last (third) quarter, and waning crescent.<br>
