INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AND INVESTMENT FORUM OF CREATIVE AND CULTURAL INDUSTRIES (CCI) Innovative private and public financial instruments & How to maximize the impact of public funding in CCS Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, IT Fabrizio Spadotto Ljubljana, Wednesday 4th October 2017 CREATIVE AND CULTURAL INDUSTRIES (CCI) IN CINEMA AND AUDIOVISUAL SECTOR 1) DEPARTMENT FOR CULTURE, SPORTS AND SOLIDARITY Aim to promote - in the field of cinema and audiovisual sector - festival, events, shows and other cultural activities settled in FVG territory FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS Grants (Regional Law 11 August 2014, n.16 – Regulation n. 17/2016) 3-years-Grants (2016-2018) for biggest movie regional festivals: euro 1.200.00,00 (every year): Trieste Film Festival Far East Film Festival (Udine) Silent Film Festival (Pordenone) Science+Fiction Film Festival (Trieste) «Anno Uno» Film Festival (Trieste) «Sergio Amidei» screenplay prize (Gorizia) «Mattador» screenplay prize (Trieste) FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS Grants (Regional Law 11 August 2014, n.16 – Regulation n.16/2016) 3-years-Grants (2016-2018) for biggest cinema cultural bodies: euro 690.00,00 (every year) «Cinemazero» (Pordenone) «Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche (C.E.C.)» (Udine) «Cappella Underground» (Trieste) «Palazzo del Cinema» (Gorizia) FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS Grants (Regional Law 11 August 2014, n.16 – Regulation n.15/2016) 3-years-Grants (2016-2018) for biggest cinema private libraries: euro 270.00,00 (every year) «Cinemazero» (Pordenone) «Centro Arti Visive» (Udine) «Cappella Underground» (Trieste) «Palazzo del Cinema» (Gorizia) Cineteca del Friuli («Movie Library of Friuli»): euro 300.000,00 (every year) FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS Grants (Regional Law 11 August 2014, n.16 – Regulation n.33/2015) Every year 1 Call for other small/medium size movie regional festivals, special events, shows and other activities in cinema and audiovisual sector In 2017 Call: euro 275.000,00 for 9 projects (ShorTS Film Festival (Trieste), Darko Bratina prize (Gorizia), Latin-American Film Festival (Trieste), Cervignano shorts film festival, Mountain film festival Tolmezzo, etc) HOW TO MAXIMIZE THE IMPACT OF PUBLIC FUNDING The grant can cover up to 100% of total project costs (because of strictly «cultural» and «no profit» nature of beneficiaries) …but… in each Call the project proposal is considered more relevant when it is capable to attract private grants in addition to public ones CREATIVE AND CULTURAL INDUSTRIES (CCI) IN CINEMA AND AUDIOVISUAL SECTOR 2) DEPARTMENT FOR PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES The aim of Friuli Venezia Giulia Audiovisual Regional Fund is to support the development of local film companies and promote the regional audiovisual works in national and international markets.
