Ghiyanagar, Phulpur, District-Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Unit is comprising of Ammonia Plant, Urea Plant, Captive Power Plant and Offsite Facilities. In March 2006, the unit has been granted Environmental Clearance for its expansion from MoEF&CC vide F.No. J-11011/150/2006-IA II (I) dated 14.07.2006. Plant has valid CTO vide CTO No. 141116/UPPCB/Allahabad(UPPCBRO)/CTO/air/PRAYAGRAJ/2021 and 141115/UPPCB/Allahabad(UPPCBRO)/CTO/water/PRAYAGRAJ/2021 dated 04.01.2022 valid upto 31.12.2023. In June 2021 ,plant has obtained NOC/Approval under no increase in pollution load for expansion in the production of Urea and Ammonia by 12.5% and 11.7% respectively from UPPCB vide letter no. H64208/C-2/Gen-599/2021 dated 09.08.2021. Now, unit has proposed modernization and expansion in the existing plant to produce Nano-Urea/Nano-Sulphur/Nano-Micronutrients of capacity 36,500 KL/year. The proposal includes installation of manufacturing unit of Nano Fertilizer and bottling unit besides auxiliary facilities. 5 INTRODUCTION The plant will be established over area of 11.3 acres in existing premises. Production capacity of Ammonia, Urea and Captive Power will remain same after modernization and expansion. The project falls in Item 5(a); Category A as per schedule of EIA Notification, 2006 and its subsequent amendments. The total cost of proposed expansion is Rs. 195 Crores. The project has been granted Terms of Reference by MoEF&CC vide Letter No. . J-11011/150/2006-IA-II(I) dated 18.11.2021. Subsequently, Draft EIA Report was submitted to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board. Public Hearing was successfully conducted on 04.01.2022. BENEFITS OF PROPOSED NANO-FERTILIZER PLANT 7 Nanotechnology is an emerging field with potential to provide Efficient Nutrient Management as compared to existing fertilizer management practices. With the use of Nanotechnology, the consumption of chemical fertilizer will be reduced. Nano Urea reduces fertilizer consumption compared to Conventional Urea. 1No. 500 ml Nano Urea Bottle is equivalent to 45 Kg Urea (1 bag). Nano Urea provides Better Nutrient & Increases Production. It also has a Cost Advantage over Conventional Urea. It is Environment Friendly and Non-Toxic to Flora & Fauna, Humans. No source of air emission/effluent generation/hazardous waste generation
