slide3. Emergency Declaration On March 17, 2020, the Province passed a Declaration of Emergency pursuant to s.7.0.1(3) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.9 (EMCPA) through O.Reg 50/20
On April 14, 2020, that Declaration was extended for a further 28 days, with a tentative end date of May 12, 2020
Various Orders subsequently issued by the Province, and highlighted in this document, are in full force and effect until May 12, 2020 unless otherwise amended www.goderich.ca<br>

This Order applies even if the event or gathering is held at a private dwelling. www.goderich.ca<br>

Exceptions:
Gathering of members of a single household

No person shall enter or use an outdoor recreational amenity except for safety, law enforcement or similar purpose www.goderich.ca<br>

Beaches
Playgrounds, play structures and equipment
Sports fields
Off-leash dog parks
Skate park
All portions of parks containing outdoor fitness areas Exception:
Individuals are permitted to walk through or use portions of the park and recreational areas that do not contain an outdoor recreational amenity that are not otherwise closed

slide8. Closure of Public Lands for Recreational Camping and Fishing Recreational camping on public lands is prohibited for the duration of the declared emergency and includes occupying any public lands within the meaning of the Public Lands Act, including:
public lands covered by water or ice or both
for the purposes of outdoor recreational accommodation and includes occupying on the public lands any equipment used for the purpose of outdoor recreational accommodation such as a tent, trailer, tent trailer, recreational vehicle, camper-back and any watercraft equipped for overnight accommodation. www.goderich.ca<br>
slide9. Closure of Public Lands for Recreational Camping and Fishing Conservation Authorities and Marinas – Complete Closures
Ausable Bayfield Conservation. The closure affects all conservation areas: Clinton, Bannockburn, Zurich, Morrison Dam, Crediton, Lucan, Parkhill, Rock Glen, and Ausable River Cut. Other properties include Mystery Falls, L-Lake, Sadler Tract, Linfield and MacNaughton – Morrison Trail. The ABCA owns thousands of acres of forests where there are no trails and these properties are also closed until further notice.
Maitland Conservation. Falls Reserve CA, Wawanash Park, Gorrie CA.
Town of Goderich: Municipal boat launches are closed to the public at Snug Harbour and Maitland Marina. www.goderich.ca<br>

A. Specific Closures: O.Reg 51/20 passed March 17, 2020 closes the following:
All facilities providing indoor recreational programs.
All public libraries.
All private schools as defined in the Education Act.
All child care centres within the meaning of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, other than that:
Is identified for the purposes of this paragraph by the Minister of Education….
Provides care only for children whose parent or guardian is an individual set out in Schedule A (supporting frontline health care workers and first responders), and
Complies with O.Reg 52/20, as if the provision of care at the child care centre were an organized public event.

Electronic submissions of complete building permit applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed by staff. However, site inspections performed by municipal staff will be restricted and evaluated on case-by-case basis as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction projects with valid building permits shall contact the Chief Building Official to request on-site inspections a minimum of 48 hours in advance of any required inspection.
Inspections will be performed on the following basis:
The site must be vacant of all trades during the inspection
Inspections will only take place in open air environments
No inspections will be performed for occupied buildings.
It will be the responsibility of the site supervisor to ensure these provisions are in place and failure to do so will result in a failed inspection. Any decision not to conduct an inspection shall be at the discretion of the Town of Goderich Building Department. www.goderich.ca<br>
