Pros
Quality food for ducks and swans available at the pond – this will hopefully reduce the amount of bread they are fed, increasing the health of the waterfowl
Potential source of income - once machine, installation and feed has been paid for (Friends of the Westbrook would likely pay upfront costs of machine, feed etc)
Cons
Who to install and maintain? Would Town Council have any interest?
Potential for vandalism to machine itself and attempts to steal money taken – vandalism will be mitigated by purchase of the security lid and regular emptying of coins
Potential for water ingress – water damage would be mitigated by purchase of the Beaver machine designed for outdoor use
Who would be responsibility for filling with feed and emptying of coins regularly. Resident has kindly offered to help, but is this sustainable long term?
Do people carry 20p/50p coins these days which are needed to dispense feed?

This is likely to be unsuitable until Covid is behind us, due to multiple people touching machine
