slide1. Reviving The Chapters & Advancing The Work LANDLIFT DYNAMICS FGBMFI-NG FIELD OFFICER’S TRAINING SEMINAR FOTRS -05
slide2. That a lot of our chapters are weak, ailing or dead,
and the work is stagnating? And that this is happening under your watch as a Field Representative?
slide3. A Weak, Ailing or Dead chapter does not happen overnight. It is a PROCESS arising from… Ineffective Supervision [ND & FR] Weak Chapter leadership [Spiritual & Operational] Deviation from the Fellowship Books Loss of Vision or compromised Vision
slide4. Chapters are not WEAK, men are Chapters do not AIL, men do. Chapters do not DIE, men do. Revive the Men to revive the Chapters And that’s the reason for a LAND LIFT! Hence
slide5. This is the Fellowship’s tool for mobilizing Healthy and Strong FGBMFI Men and their Chapters in the Regions, Districts, Zones, and Areas, to organize systematic activities with a view to… Strengthening weak and ailing men and their chapters Resuscitating dead men and their chapters Birthing new chapters where possible LANDLIFT
slide6. There is a Scriptural Foundation
“So don’t sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!” Heb 12:12-13 [Message]

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

2. It is part of the vision
Demos saw men all over the world, and as long as there is a place where this work is not reaching or is ineffective, our work is not done. WHY LANDLIFT?
slide7. 3. Reproduction is a sign and evidence of life
Stagnation indicates problems. If the chapters under you are stagnating, then there is a problem. Ailing health starts long before it is seen.

4 As Leaders, we are medical
personnel on duty to see that
chapters under our supervision
DO NOT DIE WHY LANDLIFT?
slide8. The National Landlift Committee is not out to take over your job Your ND remains the authentic leader of the work in your zone as well as yourself in your Area! We are ONLY partners together with YOU!
slide9. Start by identifying weak, ailing & dead (WAD) chapters in your Area Be conversant with the Books and the Fellowship’s best practices Strengthen your supervisory role. You can’t be successful as an absentee or armchair FR Look beyond the challenges to see new POSSIBILITIES
slide10. Runs Non-Effective or Routine or Irregular Meetings

Lack of strong and active members who always prospect for men

Officers and Members Do Not Attend Meetings Regularly

Inability To Meet Financial Obligations.

No First Timers, Salvation, Holy Ghost Baptism and lack of Personal Ministration at meetings,
Chapter Meetings are run outside the books

Members fail to attend Joint Fellowship Meetings

Membership count is declining or has fallen below 10 (Monitor Statistics) How To Identify Weak, Ailing Or Dead Chapters NOTE: Often, The Root Cause of an AILING Chapter is MEN, not Finance, Hostile Environment etc. Heal the Men to Heal the Chapter!
slide11. There are 3 Possible Causes for the decline 1. The Chapter President His spiritual life. His understanding of the Vision. His leadership style (Inclusive or Exclusive, Tyrant etc). Does he have a “Can Do” attitude? Is he Accountable? Is he FAT?
Is he a bad leader or good without knowledge? 2. The Men Of The Chapter Do they understand the Vision? Do they possess the right supportive attitude? What is the general confession of the men (Faith or Fear) ? Are they Teachable? NOTE: Sometimes, it may be better to work with new men!
slide12. There are 3 Possible Causes for the decline 3. Chapter Management Style Does the chapter have a vision?
Is it a one-man show or is it run Inclusively by members through effective committees?
Does the chapter run by the Fellowship Books?
Are meetings well planned, well prayed over and well executed?
Does the chapter have good and transparent financial records?
If the faulty management style is not corrected, the chapter will go down again NOTE: You cannot depend only on the reports. Be there!
slide13. Initial Steps Towards Revival Take Action. Promptly and prayerfully correct the identified problems before they fester.

If the problems persist, contact your zonal, district or regional LandLift Rep. for necessary support

Identify the remnant of the men and call them for chapter meetings but don’t lean on them if unwilling.

Be ready to commit time, prayer and money

Sponsor training and discipleship meetings.
Assign older hands (FR,CP,VP etc) from the zone to lead the troubled chapter for a season.
slide14. Make The Remnant Believe It Is Possible
Call Prayer Meetings. Inspire Prayers For The Chapter
Develop Strategies and Sell Same to the Remnant
Encourage Strong or Healthy Chapter in the Zone to adopt the troubled Chapter.
Work by the books
Involve members by establishing the committee system in running the chapter
Do 1000 little things right,
Engage and depend on the Holy Spirit for direction through effective prayer committee.
Consider planning a pre-launch Outreach to train the men
Celebrate the re-launch of the chapter. Ask members to invite many guests make the event exciting. STEPS TOWARDS REVIVAL
slide15. In conjunction with the Land Lift Committee, draw up the map of the area for which you need a Land Lift intervention. Two zones or areas can collaborate to share the cost of sponsoring a Landlift. The National Office sponsors National Land lifts while the others can be sponsored by the region, district, zone or area. It is important to note that because of limited fund, there is a limit to the number of Landlifts the National can sponsor LANDLIFT OPERATIONS
slide16. LANDLIFT OPERATIONS… A typical Land Lift takes between 3-5 Days depending on the extent and the peculiarities of the area. Participants are drawn from the healthy chapters in the area and the remnants of the weak, ailing or dead chapters Morning and Afternoon sessions are devoted to Fire Team Operations [FTOs] & Market Place Outreaches [MPOs] The evening of the first and second days are devoted to training in Chapter operations and Discipleship The evening of the last day is devoted to a Follow-up Dinner
slide17. AFTER LANDLIFT: WHAT NEXT? As you are planning Landlift activity to your Area, the following
steps must be planned ahead of time.
Plan and determine Follow-up outreaches to be held within one week after the Landlift activities
Identify a Strong/Healthy Chapter and Available Committed Men to drive the work.
Assign mature and experienced members to lead the chapter for a while.
Plan with the Men to run Regular and Effective Follow-up Outreach
Meetings
Plan to run regular Discipleship meetings to establish the men.
Give Assignments To Available Men.
Ensure that the Holy Spirit baptism is ministered and that the Holy Spirit is visible in all fellowship activities and personal lives of members.
slide18. Take Absolute Charge of The Revival Process
Train and Build Up The Men. Spend time with them.
Demonstrate Capacity and Showcase Standards
Expose them to FGBMFI Operations and Literature
Motivate, Promote Involvement of all the Men in love.
Be Patient, Show Faith In Their Capabilities
Delegate Responsibilities To Them
Galvanize The Remnant to Give Their All To God
Get The Men To Be Actively Involved In Intercession
Be Hands-On. Give INTENSIVE CARE but don’t Overpamper the chapter as it comes out of crisis. AFTER LANDLIFT: WHAT NEXT?
slide19. LAUNCHING A NEW CHAPTER In addition to helping to revamp troubled chapters around them, successful chapters are always on the look out to start or help other communities to begin New Chapters
IDENTIFY AND MAP OUT THE AREA FOR THE NEW CHAPTER.
Allow yourself and the Spirit of God liberty so that your thinking is not stereotyped.
Let the Spirit of God enlarge your vision. For example in a particular location you can set up two different chapters within the same area and venue.
While one Chapter holds Lunch Hour outreaches for those who work around there, the other holds Dinner meetings aimed at the population that live around the same location, but do not work there.
slide20. BE FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA
Familiarity with an area is important.
Know the peculiarities and difficulties of the area
Map the area and identify suitable location for your meetings. LAUNCHING A NEW CHAPTER Plan Voice Walks, Fire Team Operations, Market Place Outreaches and Follow-up Outreaches.
Develop a Prospect list
Send out invitations cards to your possible targets.
Commence organizational meetings.
Hold ALTS on “Understanding the Vision”, “Discipleship”, “Chapter Operations”, “Roles of Officers” “Committee System”, etc
slide21. 4. Analyze the possible effect of what you are doing in the area. Do regular analysis to know where there is a gap.
E.g. A whole area of town, certain professionals (e.g. Bankers, Engineers, Diplomats) , Young Adults, etc may not be represented in your chapter and you will only get to know this by analysis.

5. The first step in identifying an area for a new chapter is prayer. Pray that God will open your eyes.
Pray to receive from God where a new chapter is to be launched.
God will draw the Ten(10) good men needed to start the chapter as you take the steps of faith and also show you what to do. LAUNCHING A NEW CHAPTER
slide22. Final Word !!! A STRONG AND HEALTHY CHAPTER IS A DIVINE PLAN.

GOD IS COMMITTED TO IT WHAT ABOUT YOU?
slide23. Let Us Pray
