Recommended font size for A3 poster
(the organizer can have their own requirements)
Main title: 35 pt
Subheadnings under the main title: 25 pt
Headings: 20 pt
Body text: 14 pt or bigger
References and descriptive text for images and graphical elements can have a smaller font size but preferably not below 12 pt.
Amount of text
250 to 350 words is the ideal range. Use Microsoft Word to check on your word count by copy/pasting the text into a Word document. Tips
Before you start working on your PowerPoint, save it with a descriptive title, and remember to save it as you progress.
Do not fill your poster with text – instead, make sure there is plenty of “empty” space.<br>

Avoid placing text on images, this will make the text difficult to read.
Use Arial for headings and body text.
Keep your title short. The title needs to highlight your subject matter, but need not state all your conclusions.
Tables and charts
Use descriptive headings for tables and charts.
All text in tables and charts should be horizontal.
Images and graphics (if printing)
Use high-quality images with 300 dpi at 100% size. Use original JPG -files (photos) or PNG (logotypes etc.)
View your poster at 100% size and examine all graphics and photos. (View/zoom/zoom…/100%
A sharp image should not
look like this at 100%
You need the photographer's permission to publish photographs.<br>

Layout
Between the main heading and the footer: Use a layout and headings that match your needs. The template only provides suggestions for these.
Don't attempt to include too much information.
Save & export
If printing the poster (after saving your PowerPoint) export it as PDF. Chose: file/export/. File format: PDF
