To enable travellers to search for the flights on their own No more e-mail ping-pong between secretariat-CWT-travellers In January, only accessible by the secretariats – > afterwards, enabled for everyone (no exact date announced yet) As of March, hotels should be introduced and we are supposed to book the accommodation via this tool. Traveldoo Profile www.cern.ch/travel Current limitations Only simple travels to a single destinations; does not allow multi-destinations (going via CWT) No car rental possible (CWT) No train booking (this is done via an offline Traveldoo formulaire or via CWT) Traveldoo does not always find the flights combination chosen/found by the traveller (CWT contacted in that case) Important rules before booking! No longer possible to buy ANY transport on your own! Travel Request should be filled 14 days in advance! Only once the TREQ is approved by all the parties, we are able make a reservation for you! Once you enter the destination in the TREQ, automatically, the maximum transport cost (Wallet) appears in the TREQ – if the cost of the flight exceeds this amount, a justification must be provided Continental flights: the cheapest flight +200CHF Intercontinental flights: the cheapest flight + 50% Add the car rental if you know you will need it (extra wallet money are added) Public transport is encouraged between the airport and the final destination (taxi needs to be justified) No more prior reimbursement Reimbursment The receipts shall be attached to the TREQ after return and no more originals needed. The receipts for accommodation are mandatory! Please attach them to the TREQ. DTA (daily travel allowance) is composed of: 60% - covers accommodation 2x10% covers food 20% covers miscellaneous expenses Local transport at the destination Parking Taxes DTA counts from the time of departure until the time of the arrival For the local travels, DTA is paid only for the travels outside of 50km from CERN that last longer than 6 hours Other expenses reimbursed if higher than 20 CHF Registration fees Vaccination VISA Fuel Tolls Extra Travellers cannot be obliged to travel between 11pm – 7am. If you do1/2 day recovery can be granted if travelling at night or after a long journey (more than 12 hours) Cannot be accumulated, but taken immediately after arrival.
