About the Service:The guided study system features hands-on skills and drills developed by leading IT experts. Customizable tests allow you to focus on your weakest areas. Electronic flashcards help reinforce key concepts. Whether you are studying at home or traveling, Exam Mastery gets you ready for exam-day success! The program will calculate their score/percentile on the same questions that will appear on the actual certification exam when taken at the testing center. License Description: DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: An Audiologist identifies and evaluates hearing problems using testing devices to make a diagnosis and determine a course of treatment. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Two methods of licensure are available. Persons may be licensed by holding the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or by meeting the experience and education requirements listed below and taking the exam. Experience requirements: 1) Completion of 375 hours of supervised clinical observation and clinical practicum. 2) Completion of a clinical fellowship that began after academic coursework and clinical observation and clinical practicum were completed. The fellowship shall have consisted of at least 36 weeks of full-time professional experience or its part-time equivalent under the supervision of an individual possessing the ASHA CCC in audiology. 3) Submit 3 letters of recommendation from your supervisors or colleagues. Education requirements: Master\'s degree in Audiology. EXAMINATIONS: PRAXIS II Specialty Area Test in Audiology administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS). FEES: In 2021, pay $176 (application $50, license $76, compliance resolution fund $50). In 2022, pay $264 (application $50, license $76, compliance resolution fund $100, ½ renewal for 2nd year of 2-year license $38). OTHER: There were 58 licenses currently active as of February 17, 2021. ~ revised 08/18
