Responding to Hypoglycemia

Give child fast-acting sugar.

Wait 10-15 minutes. If no improvement, give 2

nd

fast acting sugar.

Wait 10-15 minutes. If no improvement, give 3rd fast acting sugar and call parent/guardian.If unable to contact parent/guardian or emergency contact, call 911/EMS.
