The music video conveys the classical love story. Love at first sight from one side and than rejection. At the beginning of the music video Carly Rae Jepson is shown staring at her half naked neighbor who she fell in love with. During the video she is trying to get his attention through actions as washing a car. At the end he finally notices her when he rushes over to see if she is okay when she fall of the car. During the time she is knocked out she is imagining him being the prince who is together with her on the cover magazine. When she gets up she plays her song to him in her garage
and at the end of the song it is revealed that her neighbor is gay as he gives his number to her guitarist instead of her. The music video is a combination of a narrative story and parts showing her perform with her band in her garage. Slide3
