ZEHO PROJECTS e: colin@zeho.co.uk m: 07976 360113 ZEHo Projects Limited Registered in England and Wales, Company No. 10618917. Registered Office at 273-275 High Street, London Colney, St.Albans, AL2 1HA Project ‘Health Check’ We hate to see clients wasting their money. While it is never done intentionally, an independent project review or ‘Health Check’ can identify for example, areas of design which could be made more efficient and at an often reduced cost, before a Planning Application is made. Checks at later stages could include the tender information being issued to contractors or tenders submitted to ensure the best contractor is appointed, considering not just price, but also experience, methodology, programme, logistics, quality, insurances, health and safety, etc. With our many years of construction experience, we are able to quickly undertake an independent review on any project at any stage, so that clients can have a meaningful report of the status of their project. This will provide a basis for moving on to the next stage of the scheme and assisting with any decision making. It is essential that every client, whether domestic or commercial, understands their statutory health and safety obligations which came into force through the CDM Regulations 2015. These apply to every project however small. We will follow up our review or health check with a report. Depending on the stage a project at, this might typically include: • Design status and overall review • Cost advice • Planning Permission • Programme and progress • Tender documents • Form of contract • Contractors’ tender submissions • Risks and opportunities • Statutory Health and Safety (CDM) • Overall status of the project against the client’s brief These reviews are relatively quick to carry out, so therefore inexpensive from a cost point of view relative to the value of the overall project. It is easier and much cheaper to amend a drawing during the design stage than to make alterations once the works are under construction, or when they have been completed, when it might be too late! We believe that we can ‘add value’ to any project, by identifying areas where improvements can be made, whether to the design or to other elements of the construction process. Please contact us should you wish to discuss your project.
