Slide3Slide4Audience Analysis
Based on
the
Questionnaire that Luiza
and Rom took, we can conclude that the teenagers we asked preferred comedy. The thing they liked the most about these films were the actors but some also liked the plot, but no one was really interested by the director. While the majority thought that the best way to open up to a comedy was with a funny joke or skit, other’s opinions varied. People also thought that the best way to open up to a comedy film is by showing to the audience why these characters are important to the film/plot.

It continues in more darkness and the camera resolution remains relatively low, not giving a clear picture of the targeted person.

Slide8Conclusion-Film Openings
The three horror/suspense films that we’ve studied today all included an intense atmosphere. Furthermore, the films had dark gloomy lighting. They all had mysterious deaths which included screaming and gore. In all three movies, as a mysterious scene was approaching, symbols like low lighting and eerie music. Thus, we can perceive that for our movie, we should focus more on lighting and non-diegetic music rather than strain plot building and maintain an air of mystery and suspense to have people on the edge of their seats.
Slide9Films That Influenced me
Happy Death Day, It, Ouija, and Lights Out influenced our video idea.
All of these are part of the horror movie category which helped us compose our film. Happy Death Day helped since it is about a stalker, which is what our video is about. The movie It also helped since it showed us the importance of color and jump scares. Ouija assisted the production the suspense we intend to include in our movie. Finally, Lights Out helped us with lighting so that we could achieve the correct dramatic affect.
Slide10Which F
ilm Company Would Produce my Film
Since our film is going to involve mystery and murder, we have decided that New line would be the best horror film company to produce our film. The horror genre of films do have many companies that produce their films. Some examples include
Blumhouse
and Atomic Monster, however, we decided to choose New Line as our film producer because their films are more related to the type of film we are creating. For example, Lights Out involved a mysterious figure going about and murdering people. Although our film will have more explanation, it will still be shrouded in mystery and the stalker will murder from the shadows.
