NELA Representative Report Prepared for April 11 Executive Board Meeting  The NELA Board met on March 21st  The NELA Intellectual Freedom Committee is planning to prepare a document which will assist librarians that are dealing with visits and requests from law enforcement.  NELA President Deb Hoadley appreciated her visit to the MLA Executive Board in February and has asked me to follow up with some questions she was not able to ask due to time constraints.  NELA’s new website has been rolled out, and has met with good reviews. The Executive Board is being trained to do updating and posting via virtual helpdesk sessions with members of the committee.  Planning for NELLS 2015 has started, and a Committee has been formed to plan a NELLS2 experience for experienced/senior library leaders. Krista McLeod and Mary Etter (NELLS Co-Chairs) are chairing this planning group as well.  The NETSL (New England Technical Services Librarians) Annual stand-alone program will be held this Friday, April 11th. The theme is “Coming Up Roses? Growing Toward the Future.’ NETSL expects good attendance at this event.  Planning is well underway for the October NELA Conference in Boxboro MA. Conference Chair is VP/President-Elect Stephen Spohn. There are lots of plans for newer and different activities. Upcoming State Conferences: CT. Library Association April 28-29 in Cromwell, CT NH Library Association April 23-24 in Whitefield, NH Respectfully Submitted, Krista McLeod MA. Representative to NELA
