Slide17Laparoscopy.
Some one diagnosed with tubal or pelvic disease, one option is to get surgery to reconstruct her reproductive organs. The doctor puts a laparoscope through a cut near the belly button to get rid of scar tissue, treat endometriosis, open blocked tubes, or remove
ovarian cysts
, which are fluid-filled sacs that can form in the ovaries.
Hysteroscopy
.
In this procedure, doctor places a
hysteroscope
into the uterus through the cervix. It's used to remove polyps and
fibroid
tumors
, divide scar tissue, and open up blocked tubes.

Slide18Medication.
In ovulation problem, female may be prescribed drugs such as
clomiphene
citrate (Clomid
,
Serophene
),
gonadotropins
(such as
Gonal
-F,
Follistim
,
Humegon
and
Pregnyl
), or
letrozole
).
Metformin
(
Glucophage
) is another type of medication that may help in
ovulatiom
normally for insulin resistant.
Women with totally blocked or infected fallopian tube can resort to Intrauterine insemination (IUI), In vitro fertilization (IVF). GIFT (gamete
intrafallopian
tube transfer) and ZIFT (zygote
intrafallopian
transfer), embryo transfer ET (test-tube baby) and Egg donation. This can help if woman has ovaries that don't work right but she has a normal uterus.
Women whose husband have low sperm count or no sperm are artificially inseminated with either husband’s or donor sperm.

Slide19The test that is typically performed to assess tubal patency, or open fallopian tubes, is referred to as a
Hysterosalpingogram
(HSG). An HSG is an X-ray picture of the pelvis. A thin tube-like instrument is passed into the cervix and then an X-ray dye is injected into the uterus. As the dye enters the uterus and fallopian tubes, an assessment can be done to look at the uterine and fallopian tube anatomy. This is the preferred test for tubal abnormalities.
If the tubes are found to be blocked, scarred or damaged, laparoscopy or another
surgical procedure
can sometimes correct this problem.

Slide20Rubin's test
Female reproductive tract showing defects
Rubin’s test, diagnostic method for determining whether the fallopian tubes in the human female are occluded. (The fallopian tubes are slender hollow structures on each side of the uterus through which the eggs travel from the ovaries to the uterus.) The test is helpful in explaining certain instances of female infertility.
