National Level Competitions Constitution Day Essay Contest The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi in collaboration with the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, is organizing an all-India essay completion. Objective : To celebrate the Constitution Day on 26th November 2019 in order to commemorate 70 years of the adoption of the Indian Constitution and also to make people aware about the fundamental duties. The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi in collaboration with the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, is organising an all-India essay completion. Last date is 26th January, 2020

Who can participate: a) Children upto 15 years of Class X b) Adults: 10 + 2 and Class 10th onwards Anyone can participate and no upper age limit is prescribed. Dates of the Contest: 1. Entries can be submitted between 26th November 2019 to 26th January 2020. 2. Result by 15th March 2020 Technical Parameters: The participant should submit the written entries with the following technical parameters: a) PDF file format only. b) Using Text font size 12 among font type either Book Antiqua or Cambria or Times New Roman. c) The Line spacing would be 1.15, d) The Paper Margins allowing 1-inch margins on all four sides and justify text on both sides.

General Terms and Conditions You can participate in the contest only by registering on the MyGov platform (https://www.mygov.in). Multiple entries by a person are not allowed. The language of the essay may be in Hindi or English. You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the content submitted and the same should not have been previously published in any print and digital media. The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content. Government of India and MyGov does not accept any liability for the publication of unlawfully reproduced contents. Government of India and MyGov takes no responsibility for corrupted or late entry. All the entries submitted by the contestants can be used by Government of India and MyGov on their social media or website. Entries duly completed must be submitted using the online application system before 5:30 PM IST on the last day as provided above. Entry must be submitted on MyGov portal. The link for the same will be made available at www.mygov.in.

The winner will be declared through email or by way of announcing his/her name on the MyGov blog page. The result of the competition will also be uploaded on the website of the Department of Justice ( https://doj.gov.in/ ) and website of the Department of Legal Affairs. (http://legalaffairs.gov.in ). The categories Junior/ Senior are restricted to Schools, therefore along with the entries participant should also submit certificate from the school/ institute where the participant is currently enrolled. The entries should include a separate cover page carrying the following personal information: Name of the participant , Father/Mother Name, Residence Address, Mobile / Landline Numbers and Email Address All the entries received within the due date will be placed before a Selection Committee for final selection. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding on all the contestants. The essays will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: a) Central Theme (20%) b) Coherence and Organization in Structure (20%) c) Creativity (40%) d) Clarity in Language, Expression and Style (20%)

PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA 2020 The competition is open only for students of classes  9 to 12 . Participants have to write their responses on any one of the 5 themes in a maximum of  1500 characters .Participants may also submit their question to Hon'ble Prime Minister in a maximum of 500 characters. Selected participants will get an opportunity to attend the interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The best responses will be featured in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Interactive Session with Students scheduled in New Delhi in January 2020.

YOUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON YOUR ASPIRATIONS What are the goals you have set for yourself in the future? What is it that you want to pursue as a career and why? EXAMINING EXAMS Do you think our examination system helps in evaluating the true potential of students? Share your suggestions for how an ideal examination system should be.

THEMES OUR DUTIES, YOUR TAKE Our Constitution emphasises upon duties as much as it does on rights. While we need to be aware and alert about our rights, we should also treat our duties similarly. What are the duties that people can inculcate in their daily lives and how? Write and inspire everyone to become more dutiful citizens. BALANCE IS BENEFICIAL A student's life is not just about books and studies. It is also about extra-curricular activities, hobbies, sports and more. What are these activities that you do apart from studies? How do you maintain a balance between all of these?

Terms and Conditions Participation of only Indian Students is allowed. The contest is open for Students of Class 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. You may participate in the contest by registering on the MyGov platform. You may participate under at least one theme. The language of the write-up may be in Hindi or English.The write-up for each theme should not exceed 1500 characters.Responses that are original, creative and simple will be appreciated.The question to Prime Minister should not exceed 500 characters.Upon successful submission of entries, all participants shall receive a digital certificate of participation that they may download. Selected participants may get to attend Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020! Selected questions to Prime Minister shall receive a physical Certificate by MHRD. You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the content submitted and the same should not have been previously published in any print and digital media. Plagiarism or Copying and Pasting information verbatim from the Internet will result in disqualification. Last date of submission of entries is 23rd December 2019.
