He has handled cases arising under numerous bilateral investment treaties (BITs) and multi-lateral treaties (including the Energy Charter Treaty, NAFTA, and CAFTA-DR), investment agreements, foreign investment laws, and commercial contracts. He has also successfully represented a number of clients in disputes against the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), including the landmark arbitration that established new precedent for ICM v. ICANN Internet governance. Mr. de Gramont is widely published and is a frequent lecturer on international arbitration issues. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center and has also taught courses sponsored by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the International Law Institute.
