DEFINITION OF DIVERSITYThe concept of diversity encompasses respect for and appreciation of differences and a state of being valued, respected and supported. It is the recognition and understanding of individual difference and uniqueness. It also involves the concept of recognizing the value and strength of diversity in a team or group.
