Purpose

Our group’s goal is to reach out to seniors (teens) in high school to help them develop stress and time-management skills to prepare for their future whether they decide to go to college or get a job. We want to help these teens develop their character by helping them manage their time and lessen stressSlide4

Counselor referral

Prepare counselors to look for observable signs: lack of sleep, moodiness, anxiety, self-injury, sudden change. Slide10

Orientation and Ethical Considerations

Rules for support group

Be respectful of other’s struggles: please avoid interrupting or having side conversations

Be honest with the people in the group; they are here to support you and not judge you

Please turn off cell phones when coming to the group

Be on time to meetings

Listen to others, you never know if what your friends have to say might be helpful for you

Confidentiality is necessity, everyone needs to feel safe in this group
