Kai previously held the ODE Director of Procurement position. Daryl Kottek is the new EIS Senior IT Portfolio Manager assigned to ODE.

SDC approved the ODE plan on March 31 hitting a key milestoneFirstNet – ODE is migrating away from desktop phones in favor of cell phones for most staffODE IT Core Processes Project – Project to identify, inventory and build-in sustainability to our core processes. Andy Milne is the project managerODE Asset Tracking & Help Desk Ticketing Project – Addresses audit finding for improved HW/SW inventory. Implements Service Desk Plus.
5. CIO UpdateLegislation of Interest2022 HB 4005 – Extends the ELD transition to the Department of Early Learning and Care to July 1, 2023 (passed) 2022 HB 4030 - Relating to educators. Section 13. Nonessential Reporting Requirements for one year. (passed)2022 HB 4092 – Oregon Broadband Bill (passed)2022 HB 4155 – Establishes the Oregon Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (failed)2023 Session Preview: Budget Instructions have been released and as of 4/12, 11 OFIT POPS will move forward including the consolidation of multiple process improvement proposals.
