In state – Governmental Immunity Protection applies.

In your own car
your insurance is primary.
Inform your insurance company that you carry passengers as a part of your job duties and be sure your insurance reflects that.
In a county car
May not be allowed in the future.

Purchase additional liability insurance offered by the rental car company.
NOTE: In all cases, if you are ‘on the job’
you will be covered
by CSU’s liability protection, BUT the limits of governmental immunity will not apply if an accident occurs out of the state of Colorado.
