Alcohol wipe end cap of line (scrub for 15-30 seconds) and release clamp
Connect saline flush onto blue cap and flush line (push/pause method) and then disconnect from line
Alcohol wipe end cap of line (scrub for 15-30 seconds)
Connect medication to line, after administration of medicine, disconnect
Alcohol wipe end cap of line (scrub for 15-30 seconds)
Flush line with saline (push/pause method)
Alcohol wipe end cap of line
Lock line with heparin (if indicated, use push/pause method), disconnect and re-clamp line
Dispose of supplies
