Pyramid Speech Pillars
Directions
Choose four themes you want to work on when writing a new speech. Some examples are: Have a purpose, Communicate clearly, Educate, or Engage.
Write them in the triangle pillars on the next slide.
Expand on those pillars with specific examples of how to accomplish them when writing your speech. Examples would be: can I explain why I’m giving this speech, have I broken it down enough, have I included facts, or have I asked the audience questions?
Refer to these pillars every time you’re working on a new speech.
Optional: Fill out the triangle pillars on the last slide, print, fold, and glue sides together. Keep the pyramid on your desk to remind you what you should consider when writing a new speech.Slide3
