The ad includes:
A bottle of Heinz ketchup that looks like it’s made up of tomato slices.
A red background-the color of ketchup.
A sentence written on the bottom: “No one grows ketchup like Heinz.”
Main message: Heinz ketchup includes fresh ingredients. Slide5
Analyze
The ad campaign gives the reader the message that this ketchup is fresh by:
Including very red, thick, fresh-looking slices of tomato.
Including the green portion of the tomato at the top makes the item look fresh-picked.
By stacking the slices into the shape of a bottle, the ad campaign makes the reader think of the familiar brand and a fresh product.
By using the term “grows” in the ad, the ad campaign makes the reader think of a tomato harvest instead of a processing plant. Slide6
