We had to work in watches, so this gave us a lot of time to get to know each other and work together. We learnt how the boat worked, we had to get the sail up to get our destination. We learnt knots to keep the sails up and to keep the deck nice and tidy. I also learnt some cooking skills as we had to cook our own food.. title: . Barge incident. What happened?. During . some rough weather one of the two mooring lines holding the maintenance barge to the mooring buoy failed. An assessment by the marine maintenance team resulted in a decision to use a small boat to secure a towing line to the barge. While preparations were underway it was noticed that the barge and the mooring buoy were drifting towards the MAF beach..
