Shortcomings of the current approachDigital cities somewhat dominated by technology-push, rather than innovation driven by cities’ demandSolutions sometimes fragmented and isolated from each other without links to an overall digital strategy Digital transition is a long-term shift in society that is foreseen to continue. Emerging new technologies will shape the form of the transition.

Significant and untapped opportunities exist, and there is room to elaborate on and rethink these solutions to take them ‘to the next level’.
