Joseph Jeff Loewi 315 East 77 th Street New York, NY 10075. To Whom it May Concern, Over the years I've been a board member and Board President of 315 East 77 St Coop since it's conversion in the early 80's. During that time I've seen numerous managin g agents come and numerous agents leave or be removed. It's not easy. We came to REM several years ago after a terrible experience with what we had thought was a reputable company. We interviewed REM as well as several other excellent companies. In the en d we chose REM because of the high quality and long term experience of the staff and more particularly the hands on approach of the owner Rick Elezi. Rick Elezi is a professional who has worked his way up from a doorman/hand y man to the head of a premier m anagement company. Soft spoken, Rick impressed us not only with his understanding of the everyday concerns a coop faces, but also with his intimate knowledge of the underbelly, the physical plant. Unlike the many managing companies that push for unnecessa ry so called “improvements” to boost their own bottom line, REM has never pushed. They make suggestions, educate the board, explain the pros and cons, detail the costs and benefits, and document the potential future savings. They also have worked with nume rous different contractors but there is never any pressure to select one or the other or even to select any of his contacts. We just completed our local law commitment, chose the lowest bidder, the work was excellent, timely and the job came in on budget. So look around carefully but give REM serious consideration.
