For this activity, begin by rolling the dice one time. The number that you roll will represent what vocabulary term that you will use in a sentence. The sentence should describe or explain anything from the novel Holes. You will then roll the dice a second and third time and follow the same instructions. [Example: I roll a 2 so I use #2 vocabulary term “indentation” in a sentence that corresponds with the novel Holes such as “When the boys dig holes they leave indentations in the ground”
