Matzdieim association was established in 08/2008 by Michael
Hershcovits
a Veteran that was injured during the fights of Yom
Kipur
. Due to the disappointed he felt from the way the official services as INZ organization and the rehabilitation department handle the worriers affairs .
The other reason was to return the lost honor of the
disabled
warriors
, that once they were injured, they being
skind
of all there awards, like the worrier card that they paid in blood to gain, and gave them benefits they entitled to being on the front line risking their lives.Slide3
Our vision:
To maximize the rights and the circumstances of disabled warriors and soldiers that support warriors at combat, through bureaucratic obstruction as much as possible, and channel the rehabilitation department budget in behalf of disabled warriors and soldiers that support warriors at combat, that were injured due to direct connection to their service in the army and to able them to live the rest of their life in a respectable waySlide4

Legal aid department
The association legal department gives the members legal advise by lawyers that as an agreement with The association, so they can charge only between 1,200 – 5,000
nis
per case.
The association is also the only one that helps injured soldiers that been given up to 19% disability.
The association also gives information to soldiers who were just release from the army, and would like to sue the army for their injury, we are the only place that they can get all the information free of charge. Slide6
Medical aid & Rehabilitation department
The association helps the members in several ways:
Representation at the Rehabilitation department comities.(was officially permitted)
Getting a professional medical opinion from specialists doctors in minimum fee
Psychological and psychiatry Treatments in a very low cost (from professional Psycho logics and psychiatrics that as an agreement with the association).
Arts Treatment that was proven as getting good results for people who as PTSD.Slide7
Statutory department
The association with

lobbing company are working with in the government committees, for special recognition in wounded warriors and already gained more than 50 supporters from the
Kneset
members (out of 120). We also work to make an amendment to the low, that will limit the fee that lawyers can charge from a disabled veteran.

The association believes in educating about IDF heritage to Jews- young and old in Israel and all over the world.

The association has a goal of
building a memorial monument for The Unknown Warrior.
It is hard to believe that a country like Israel, with all the wars that it’s been thru, especially the freedom war(1948) in which a lot of new arrivals from Europe after the holocaust, came forward to help defend the new Jewish state of Israel, and died in action without anybody knows there name, did not see in building such a monument a national task. The association wish is to build one for Israel’s 70 birthday. Slide11
Art studio for disabled warriors:
The association wishes to open an art studio that will become the home of talented disabled warriors.
The studio will provide them with all the equipment they may need and the space to store there creations. Once in 6 month the association will conduct an open gallery and sale, the money will split 60% for the artist and 40% for the association.Slide12
fund for mutual aid to disabled warriors:
Some disabled warriors finds themselves after their injury in a position that they can't support financially their families, and especially when the holidays comes they don’t have anything to put on the table.
Matzdieim believes that the one who risks is life for the country – the country can’t ignore his safer. And we must restore his proud.
Our goal is to establish a fund that any disabled warrior who is in need, will be able to get a one time sum to help him. Slide13
Establish an information center
The association wish is to establish an information center that will give all who address to it the information regarded their rights as a Vattern.
This center will also guide, free of charge, about the legal action that are open for recognition as a veteran or in case of severe condition.Slide14
