Presentation on theme: "Proposed water"— Presentation transcript:

Slide1

Proposed water standards and antidegradation rules

The following slides show how current water quality in the Iowa Great Lakes compares to the minimum water quality standard being proposed by the Iowa DNR.

The data used for these slides was collected by CLAMP volunteers and compiled by Iowa Lakeside Laboratory.

Proposed water standards and antidegradation rules

The current water quality in the Iowa Great Lakes often exceeds the water quality standard being proposed by the Iowa DNR. Without the adoption of the proposed antidegradation rules, water quality in these Great Lakes could be allowed to be degraded down to the “standard.”
