What are the Five Pillars of Islam?
There are five duties that every Muslim is obliged to perform.
The Five Pillars of Islam help Muslims put their faith into actions.
The Five Pillars –
Shahadah
- sincerely reciting the Muslim profession of faith.
Salat
– performing ritual prayers FIVE times each day.
Zakat – paying an alms (or charity) tax to benefit the poor and the needy.
Sawm
– fasting during the month of Ramadan.
Hajj – pilgrimage to Mecca.
Instructions –
In each column, draw and color a picture representing a pillar of Islam.
Each pillar should be labeled.
On the back of paper, write a paragraph explaining what the Five Pillars are and why they are important to Muslims.
You many NOT draw a depiction of Muhammad! If you have to ask the answer is NO!
