The Personhood of Yahweh God

Deu_6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God

is

one LORD:

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.Gen 1:26 And God(Elohim) said,

Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.Gen 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. One God in Three PersonsSlide6

Joh 10:30 and I am one with the Father.

Joh_14:9 Jesus replied: Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don't you know who I am?

If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.

How can you ask me to show you the Father? Joh_8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (Pre –existent The Jews went to stone Him because they understood Him as saying He was God )

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Jesus replied: "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with himSlide7

We have two examples before us to help us understand. They are as follows:

1)Tabernacle of Moses and the Temples built in Jerusalem.

2) Man made in God’s imageSlide8

ONE TABERNACLE Three PartsSlide9

Man is made in the image of God. Three separate parts but one being. Like our creator we are three in one with each part different but inseparable from the whole.

1Th_5:23 And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Slide10

Yahweh the Father

Exo

3:15 God said further to Moshe, "Say this to the people of

Isra'el

: 'Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh ( י ה ו ה YHVH) [Adonai]

, the God of your fathers, the God of ABRAHAM the God of ISAAC and the God of JACOB, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever; this is how I am to be remembered generation after generation. YHVH Yeh-ho vaw Yahweh English JehovahSlide11

This is the Lord’s name in which we are to remember Him. It means I AM that I AM

Isai 52:6a "My people shall know my name.."

Psalms 116:4 (KJV) Then I called upon the name of Yahweh; O Yahweh, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

Psalms 116:13 (KJV) I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Yahweh.

Psalms 116:17 (KJV) I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Yahweh.

When you see LORD in the old testament it is a representing YHVH because the Jewish leadership had wrongly forbidden to speak His name in fear of blasphemy.Slide12

Look at this scripture in the book of Isiah in which Jesus the Lord’s redeemer is called Yahweh as well .

Isai 44:6 (KJV) Thus

saith

Yahweh the King of Israel, and His redeemer Yahweh of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God Elohim'.

What are the attributes of God? Why should it matter?

We study to show ourselves

approved.

We study to anchor truth in place of lies. We must know who He says He is, How He says He acts and How He deals with us before we will really understand how the enemy works against us

. The key to defeating the enemy is drawing close to God (Yahwey). The world and supernatural beings (evil spirits) paint a different picture of God than the truth as established in his word. These pictures sometimes appear as angels of light (often compromise). If we study the real thing the spirit will reveal the

counterfiet. May He bless you in your journey. Slide25

"What are the attributes of God? What is God like?"

The Bible, God’s Word, tells us what God is like and what He is not like. Without the authority of the Bible, any attempt to explain God’s attributes would be no better than an opinion, which by itself is often incorrect, especially in understanding God (

Job 42:7). To say that it is important for us to try to understand what God is like is a huge understatement. Failure to do so can cause us to set up, chase after, and worship false gods contrary to His will (Exodus 20:3-5).Slide26

Only what God has chosen to reveal of Himself can be known. One of God's attributes or qualities is “light,” meaning that He is self-revealing in information of Himself (

Isaiah 60:19

James 1:17

). The fact that God has revealed knowledge of Himself should not be neglected (Hebrews 4:1). Creation, the Bible, and the Word made flesh (Jesus Christ) will help us to know what God is like.Let's start by understanding that God is our Creator and that we are a part of His creation (Genesis 1:1;

Psalm 24:1) and are created in His image. Man is above the rest of creation and was given dominion over it (Genesis 1:26-28). Creation is marred by the fall but still offers a glimpse of God’s works (Genesis 3:17-18; Romans 1:19-20). By considering creation's vastness, complexity, beauty, and order, we can have a sense of the awesomeness of God.Slide27

Reading through some of the names of God can be helpful in our search of what God is like.

From the names of the Lord in the bible we can clearly understand who He is and How God acts.

The Lord’s desire for us is that we become like Him. That Christ be formed in us. By his Grace we are to be transformed even in our behavior into the image of Christ. His names can help us understand the help he provide. Slide28

God is eternal, meaning He had no beginning and His existence will never end. He is immortal and infinite (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2; 1 Timothy 1:17). God is unchangeable, meaning He is unchanging; this in turn means that God is absolutely reliable and trustworthy (Malachi 3:6; Numbers 23:19; Psalm 102:26, 27). God is incomparable; there is no one like Him in works or being. He is unequaled and perfect (2 Samuel 7:22; Psalm 86:8; Isaiah 40:25; Matthew 5:48). God is

too big ,to wide and too deep for us to fully,

and

understand

Him (Isaiah 40:28; Psalm 145:3; Romans 11:33, 34).The Good news is He calls us friend and wants to share with usGen 18:17

And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Joh_15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto youSlide29

God is just; He is no respecter of persons in the sense of showing favoritism (Deuteronomy 32:4;Psalm 18:30). God is omnipotent; He is all-powerful and can do anything that pleases Him, but His actions will always be in accord with the rest of His character (Revelation 19:6; Jeremiah 32:17, 27). God is omnipresent, meaning He is present everywhere, but this does not mean that God is everything (Psalm 139:7-13; Jeremiah 23:23). God is omniscient, meaning He knows the past, present, and future. Since He knows everything, His justice will always be administered fairly (Psalm 139:1-5; Proverbs 5:21).Slide30

God is one; not only is there no other, but He is alone in being able to meet the deepest needs and longings of our hearts. God alone is worthy of our worship and devotion (Deuteronomy 6:4). God is righteous, meaning that God cannot and will not pass over wrongdoing. It is because of God’s righteousness and justice that, in order for our sins to be forgiven, Jesus had to experience God's wrath when our sins were placed upon Him (Exodus 9:27; Matthew 27:45-46; Romans 3:21-26).Slide31

God is sovereign, meaning He is supreme. All of His creation put together cannot thwart His purposes (Psalm 93:1; 95:3; Jeremiah 23:20). God is spirit, meaning He is invisible (John 1:18; 4:24). God is a Trinity. He is three in one, the same in substance, equal in power and glory. God is truth, He will remain incorruptible and cannot lie (Psalm 117:2; 1 Samuel 15:29). God is holy, separated from all moral defilement and hostile toward it. God sees all evil and it angers Him. God is referred to as a consuming fire (Isaiah 6:3; Habakkuk 1:13; Exodus 3:2, 4-5; Hebrews

12:29 Slide32

God is gracious, and His grace includes His goodness, kindness, mercy, and love. If it were not for God's grace, His holiness would exclude us from His presence. Thankfully, this is not the case, for He desires to know each of us personally (Exodus 34:6; Psalm 31:19; 1 Peter 1:3; John 3:16,17:3

).

God is holy, separated from all moral defilement and hostile toward it. God sees all evil and it angers Him. Praying His Names

Those

who know their God will be strong and do great exploits

.

Psalm 5:11-12But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them. Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Psalm 7:17I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.Psalm 9:10And those who know Your name will put their trust n You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.Psalm 34:3Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. Slide34

When we pray God’s names we show God and the spirit realm that we have studied God’s word and grown to know Him.

We are exercising our faith to show the Father that He will be to us what His Name reveals.

We are speaking God’s word which never

returns void. Isa_55:11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.Isa_55:11 So shall my word be that

goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.Slide35

who provides all of my needs through Christ riches in glory. Jesus you are the Anointed one, the Amen and the Author of my Salvation. Yahweh you are a Man of War and The Lord of Host and I thank you that you fight for me. Thank you Lord that you are Yahweh

THE NATURE AND TACTICS OF SATAN

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 Slide37

Characteristics of Satan 1.

Created

 by God, and

not equa

l to God  (Prov 16:4) 2. Defies God and despises truth  (John 8:44) 3. Was given limited power (Job 1:8-12) 4. Was defeated at Calvary (Eph. 1:20-23)

 5. Rules the masses outside God’s protection  (Eph. 2:1-3) 6. Commands a hierarchy of demons (Eph. 6:10-12) 7. Comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) 8. Masquerades as "an angel of light." (2 Cor. 11:14-15)9. Tries to hide the actual truth about our God. 10.  Twists the meaning of Scriptures to fit his purposes. (Gen. 3:1-5)11. Offers counterfeit promises  he can't fulfill12. Always seeks an "opportune time" to tempt us (Luke 4:13)Slide38

The Nature of satan

He is a liar and a murderer

Joh_8:44

Ye are of your

father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Slide39

He steals. He kills. He destroys

Joh

10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have

it more abundantly.Slide40

He blinds

2 Corinthians 4:4 says,

... the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them. Slide41

HIS ORIGIN

Unlike Yahweh

satan

our adversary is not immortal. He was a created being by Yahweh .An angel in the class of Cherubs. Look at the scripture in Ezekiel which describes him before his rebellion and his fate.

Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of

Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the

sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy

tabrets

and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou

wast

created.

Eze

28:14

Thou

art

the anointed cherub that

covereth

; and I have set thee

so:

thou

wast

upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze

28:15

Thou

wast

perfect in thy ways from the day that thou

wast

created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Slide42

Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze

28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Eze

28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Eze 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.He was a very special angel who appears to have had a special position in God’s creationSlide43

The Anointed Cherub that Covers. Ezekiel 28:14 begins, You were the anointed cherub that covers....

In Ezekiel 10:1, we see the throne of God hovering above the cherubim; but in 28:14, we see

the Shining One

covering, or hovering above, or spread out over, the throne of God. His having been anointed shows that He was especially endowed by God for his breathtakingly glorious role as the covering cherub.

This title also reveals a second position held by this cherub. Cherubim are the highest order of angel, and this cherub was The Anointed Cherub, indicating that he had preeminence over all other cherubim and all the seraphim and rank and file angels, as well. In other words, he had preeminence over the entire angelic host

. Slide44

Ezekiel 28:13b reveals yet another facet of his position as The Anointed Cherub that Covers

:

The workmanship of your tambourines and of your flutes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.

These musical instruments were

in him as he hovered above God, above the seraphim (Isaiah 6:2) and above the other cherubim (Ezekiel 10:1). It is the picture of a worship leader who led the entire company of angels in the worship of God. To sum up, three positions are included in the title The Anointed Cherub that Covers

: 1. He hovered above the throne of God. 2. He had preeminence over the entire angelic host. 3. He led the entire company of angels in the heavenly worship of GodSlide45

What Happened ?

Isa 14:12

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!

how

art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Slide46

Names and titles of the enemy

1)

The Tempter

. Found in Matthew 4:3 and 1 Thessalonians 3:5, this designation shows Satan as the one who entices people to sin. Matthew 4:3: And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread

.2) The Deceiver

. This designation is found in Revelation 12:9, in which Satan is called, the deceiver of the whole world, showing him as the one who, by deception, deceives the great mass of humanity into rejecting God and His ways. As often as he is able he even deceives believers into rejecting God's good counsel, which is why Ephesians 6:11 exhorts us to stand against the wiles of the devil. 3) The Serpent. Satan is depicted as a serpent in about ten places in the Bible, most notably in Genesis 3:1, the first reference to him in Scripture. This depiction brings to mind his cleverness and cunning in deception, as in his temptation of Eve: Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which Jehovah God had made. Slide47

6) The

Accuser of the Brethren

. Revelation 12:10 designates Satan as the accuser of believers. Job 1:9-11 and 2:5 show him in action, accusing righteous Job to God's face

.

7) The Dragon. Satan is portrayed as a dragon in Revelation 12, emphasizing the great power and ferocity he employed in his attempt to devour the Child of the woman (Revelation 12:4; Matthew 2), and will employ to destroy the woman, Israel, who gave birth to the Child (Revelation 12:13).

4) The Angel of Light. Found in 2 Corinthians 11:14, this designation shows that Satan carries out the work of deception by offering appealing counterfeits of true moral and spiritual understanding, of which this kosmos abounds in its legion of false religions, philosophies, beliefs and opinions.5) The Devil. Devil means Accuser or Slanderer, and declares the chief way he seeks to cause division between God and His people, and between God's people. It is used only in the New Testament, and is found there thirty-five times. . Slide48

8) The Prince of Demons.

This title is found in Matthew 12:24 and Luke 11:15, and obviously shows his authority over all other demons.

9)

The Prince of the Powers of the Air

. This title is found in Ephesians 2:2, and likewise shows that Satan, who presently abides in the atmosphere, is the ruler of his subordinate powers of the air, the demons, who also abide in the atmosphere.b. In Relation to the Present World System10)

The God of This Age. This title is found in 2 Corinthians 4:4, and emphasizes Satan's control of this age, whose world view is so contrary to that of Christ's. 11) The Prince of This World. This designation appears in John 12:31, 14:30, and 16:11. In each case, the Greek word for world is kosmos, which refers to our world system in regards to its prevailing satanic spirit and the way that it's consequently arranged and conducted, as opposed to the spirit of the Kingdom of God and the way that it is arranged and conducted. 12) The King of Babylon. This title is found in Isaiah 14:4 and, viewed in the context of verses 4-17, metaphorically portrays Satan as in control of all worldly kingdoms.

13) The King of Tyre.

This title is found in Ezekiel 28:11-12 and, viewed in the context of verses 11-19, likewise metaphorically portrays Satan as the demon king of all earthly kingdoms.

Slide49

14) Belial. Belial

is found in 2 Corinthians 6:15, and means

worthlessness

. It describes Satan's net value in God's eyes in terms of his ability to be or do anything good. Nevertheless, Scripture reveals that he, as well as the other demons, are worthy of respect, even as criminals about to be executed are normally handled with dignity in countries having a biblical heritage. Note Jude 1:8-9:

8. Yet in like manner these dreamers [false and immoral teachers] also defile the flesh, despise authority, and bring a railing accusation against [angelic] dignities. 9. But Michael the archangel, when disputing with the devil over the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a railing accusation against him, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Similarly, 2 Peter 2:10b:

They are presumptuous, self-willed, not trembling when they speak evil of angelic glories. In reference to the Jude passage, Adam Clarke notes, "It was a Jewish maxim, as may be seen in Synopsis Sohar, page 92, note 6: 'It is not lawful for man to prefer ignominious reproaches, even against wicked spirits.' (See Schoettgen)" This is a principle which the author has seen flagrantly violated by people who ought to have known better.15) Beelzebub. Beelzebub means Lord of the Flies, and is found in Matthew 10:25; 12:24, 27; Mark 3:22; and Luke 11:15, 18, 19. It is a comical term for Satan employed by the rabbis of Jesus' day. Beelzebub is a play on Beelzebul, the Greek form of the original Philistine name, which means

REPENTANCE ,SELF, OTHERS AND THE NATION

Repentance- What is it? Who needs to? How is it done?Slide55

What is repentance?

Definition: Repentance means a sincere turning away, in both the mind and heart, from self to God

. It is becoming accountable to Yahweh for our actions. It is a turning away from agreeing with sin and the world and coming into agreement with the Lord.

In a biblical context, repentance is recognizing that our sin is offensive to God. Repentance can be shallow, such as the remorse we feel because of fear of punishment (like Cain) or it can be deep, such as realizing how much our sins cost Jesus Christ and how his saving grace washes us clean (like the conversion of Paul).Slide56

Who needs to?

Rom_3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one

:

Rom_3:11 There is none that

understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. Rom_3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.Rom_3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Slide57

"The time has come," Jesus said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent

and

the good news!" (Mark 1:15,

NIVSlide58

While repentance is needed for salvation it also needs to be a lifestyle for believers. We are to be constantly aware of the presence of God and His holiness. We are to accept His mercy and grace. With in His mercy and grace is the privilege of confession.

Repentance is also for the believer.

Therefore,O

house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall

.“ 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This word cleanse in the Greek language means a continual cleansing. Slide59

When we out loud confess our sins to God we disarm the accusation of the enemy. When we have unconfessed sin in our life we are out of agreement or fellowship with God. When we confess the fellowship is restored.

Look at King David in Psalm 51

Psa

51:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy

lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Psa 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Psa 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Psa 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psa 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Psa 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Psa 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Psa 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. PA 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Slide60

PA 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psa

51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Psa

51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Psa 51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Psa 51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. Psa 51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall

shew forth thy praise. Psa 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Joy of Salvation, awareness of His presence, ability to praise Him in song, upheld by His free spirit.ability to teach transgressors God’s ways.Remember David was in covenant with God. A Man of Israel like us. His sin had separated him from agreement with Yahweh.Slide61

Repentance and Confession to Others

Jas 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Jas 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth

much. Although the Lord is kind and loves His Children many are blocked from healing by an unrepentant heart. Following are some steps to true repentance. Steps of Repentance: Feel Godly Sorrow "For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin." (Psalms 38:18) The first step of repentance is to recognize that you've committed a sin against God's commandments. Feel true sorrow for what you've done and for disobeying Heavenly Father. Feel sorrow for any pain you may have caused toward other people.Slide62

Confess to God 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Pray

to

our Lord

and be honest with him. Tell him of your sin(s). If necessary (ongoing and besetting sin sexual sins etc) confess your sins to

a pastor or another believer you trust. Turn away from any works that do not agree with God. Amo 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? If your sin has harmed another person apologize quickly. Heb_12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: 1Pe_5:5

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Jas_4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Repentance for Others

Nehemiah chapter 1 When

I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said:

“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel

. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses

.8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’10 “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”Slide64

Daniel chapter 9

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God

, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which

spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. Slide65

O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and

forgiveness,

though we have rebelled against him;

10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. Slide66

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day;

we have sinned, we have done wickedly

.

6 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us

.17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.Slide67

Exo 32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. Exo 32:11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? Exo 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. Exo 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and

saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. Exo

32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. Slide68

HOLY SPIRIT POWER

Power in the Holy Spirit begins and ends with love. Yahweh God is Love.

1Jn_4:8

He that

loves not knows not God; for God is love.

1rst Jn_3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death. 1Jn_3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn_4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.1Jn_4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells

in God, and God in him. 1Jn_4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hates

his brother, he is a liar: for he that

loveth

not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

1Jn_4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who

loves

God love his brother also.Slide70

What is Love

1Co 13:1 I may speak in different languages, whether human or even of angels. But if I don't have love, I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal.

1Co 13:2 I may have the gift of prophecy, I may understand all secrets and know everything there is to know, and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains. But even with all this, if I don't have love, I am nothing.

1Co 13:3 I may give away everything I have to help others, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing all this if I don't have love.

1Co 13:4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Slide71

1Co 13:5 Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.

1Co 13:6 Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth.

1Co 13:7 Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.

Gal_5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision

avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Slide72

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Look at Jesus instructions to His followers:

Spoken in Luke and repeated in Acts

Luk

24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Act

1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. PROPHECIES OF THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY CONCERNING BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:

"For it is with stammering lips and another tongue he will speak to this people, to whom he said, "This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest," and "This is the refreshing"; yet they would not hear" (Isaiah 28:11-12).

NEW TESTAMENT FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHECY:

"In the law it is written: "With men of other tongues and other lips I will speak to this people; and yet, for all that, they will not hear me" (1 Corinthians 14:21).Slide74

MORE OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY CONCERNING BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:“ And is shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on my menservants and on my maidservants I will pour out my Spirit in those days" (Joel 2:28-29).Slide75

PETER QUOTING JOEL

NEW TESTAMENT FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHECY:

"But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on my menservants and on my maidservants I will pour out my Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy" (Acts 2:16-18).Slide76

WORDS OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall

baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Slide77

Jesus gave us the purpose for being baptized in the Holy Spirit. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8

The

baptism

of the Holy Spirit is not for the purpose of cleansing from sin, but for the purpose of empowering for

service. ONLY HIS BLOOD CLEANSESSlide78

"Then the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all

filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance"

(Acts 2:1-4)Slide79

Receiving the Holy Spirit upon conversion and being baptized in the Holy Spirit are two separate and distinct experiences.  The disciples received the Holy Spirit on the day of Christ's resurrection for the New Testament experience of salvation.  At this moment the disciples passed from Old Testament salvation to New Testament Salvation.

Slide80

"So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit" (John 20:21,22)Slide81

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call" (Acts 2:38,39).

AFTER PETER HAD PREACHED TO THE MULTITUDES AND QUOTED THE PROMISE OF GOD THROUGH JOEL HE SPOKE THESE WORDSlide82

So after repenting and receiving Christ as Savior, you are eligible to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Peter denied Christ three times before receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit, but on the day of Pentecost he had power and boldness to preach to the multitudes and 3000 were born again Slide83

. Philip, one of the early deacons, went down to Samaria and had a city-wide revival. People were healed and demons were cast out. People received Christ as Savior and were baptized in water.

More Evidence For Second Event

Acts 8:5-17 Slide84

But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, Slide85

who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.Slide86

You are to pray and sing in your prayer language-1 Corinthians 14:14,15Then what should I do? There are times when I should pray with my spirit, and times when I should pray with my mind. Sometimes I should sing with my spirit, and at other times I should sing with my mind. Slide95

GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN AT PENTECOST NOW YOU CAN RECEIVE WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN.Slide97

Hindrances to the Baptism of The Holy Spirit:

Unbelief,doubt

-UNBELIEF while not yielding one's self to the direction and leading of the Spirit The person who comes forward to receive the Holy Ghost, while harboring doubts in his heart, can go away unfilled. Personal reservations as to the validity of the experience will almost surely prevent the seeker from receiving this glorious experience. If one is not sure something is real or for them, they will never pursue and realize the end result! Slide98

The problem is doubt is removed when we embrace and believe God's WORD when it comes to our pursuit of the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Unbelief was Israel's problem in accepting the power that Christ performed His miracles was from God. Many times the Pharisees accused Christ of performing miracles by the power of Satan instead of the power by which He performed these miracles - the Holy Ghost.Slide99

That brings us to the next interfering factor that causes many not to receive the Baptism in the Spirit which is in many ways much harder to banish from the equation - the matter of yielding.

Yielding is inextricably wound up with our all-too-human-need for individuality. We are taught from childhood to "stand on our own two feet," to "make our own way," and "not to be beholden to others." (Saints need each other . Interdependent not co.)Slide100

In the Kingdom of God we are to totally depend on God to help in every area. This means to partner with Him in living our lives.

Unfortunately, this human tendency of self dependency (control) is so ingrained that we find it difficult, when confronted with the necessity of yielding our will to that of God, to give up our lifelong search for "independence." God doesn't want us independent of Him! He is the Loving Father of our souls who wants us to turn TO HIM with our every living need.Slide101

When you surrender your life to Jesus, your salvation is not free.  It's  bought with a very high price.  The crucification

You may sometimes ask yourself why God thinks you're worthy of that sacrifice? Despite all of your attempts at perfection, you constantly miss the mark. Surely trading Jesus' excellence for your mediocrity could not have been the best choice.

But Your Heavenly Father has a very special kind of love towards you.  He longs for you to be able to bask in His presence. And, once He finally gets you - You're Marked.

Now, the changes don't happen over night. They're gradual. You may not notice them over days and weeks. Or even after several months. But, you are God's work in progress - Not your own. Mark to prove it!You live for Him, and His Spirit lives inside of you.Slide106

What is the Purpose of the Fruits of the Spirit?

There are two huge things that the Fruits of the Spirit accomplish here on Earth

.

They give you the power to fulfill your destiny in Christ.

Without the Holy Spirit bearing spiritual fruit inside of you, you would be powerless. You wouldn't have the endurance and faithfulness to complete the calling that God has given you. You wouldn't even have the self-discipline to study your Bible or pray. Without the Fruits of the Spirit, the gifts that God has hidden inside of you, would stay locked away forever.Slide107

They are what God uses to draw people to Himself through you. Do you know anyone who, no matter the situation, always radiates a godly

peace

- They are unshakable.  People in this world are drawn to that kind of peace.

With all of the chaos surrounding them every day, they search their entire lives for whatever

peace and joy they can get their hands on. They end up trying to fill the void with fleeting counterfeits

like false gods, alcohol and illicit sex.  Things that merely numb their pain for a short while, but leave them longing once again, after the party is over.  When they look at you in a time of crisis, and see God's unshakable  peace and joy staring back at them through your eyes, they want to know what you know.  Then, you can introduce them to Who you know.Remember, the Fruits of the Spirit are not something that you can scrounge up on your own, but gifts that God gives to you.  He uses them to set you free from human frailties like anger, fear and depression. He wants to give you His peace for your stress and anxiety, His love for your

unforgiveness, His joy for your depression, and on and on. Slide108

Fruit of the Spirit

Reflection Questions:

Do you believe in your heart that you have been Marked by the Spirit of God? Why or why not?

Do you agree with the idea that people in the world can be drawn to God by His fruit in your life? Why or why not?

What Fruits of the Spirit do you already see manifesting in your life? Which of the 9 Fruits of the Holy Spirit do you still need God to manifest inside of you? Stop now and pray for the Holy Spirit to begin this work today!Slide109

Gift of the Spirit

In addition to the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit, the Bible also tells us that there are 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit

.

The

9 fruits of the Holy Spirit have to do with God imparting part of His divine nature into the core of our personalities to help make us into a much better and holy people.God’s ultimate aim for all of us is our sanctification in Him, and part of that sanctification process has to do with the Holy Spirit Himself transmitting 9 specific divine qualities and attributes into our personalities

.Without the fruit of the Spirit the gift sometimes still flow but damage can be done to the advancement of God’s Kingdom. One minute a prophecy and the next moment a fight or a fit .This makes for a bad witness. But if the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit are the cake, then the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit are the icing on the cake. Put these two together, and allow God to work with a believer with both sets of these 9 fruits and 9 gifts.Put these two together, and allow God to work with a believer with both sets of these 9 fruits and 9 gifts. And you will have one mighty sanctified soldier of Jesus Christ, as the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit will give you some serious heavy ammunition to have at your disposal as you walk with God’s anointing in your daily life. .

Slide110

The Holy Spirit can manifest any one of these 9 gifts through any believer anytime that He will want to do so.

Each one of these gifts are major power gifts, and they are all direct, supernatural, miraculous manifestations direct from the Holy Spirit Himself.

And any Christian can get themselves in proper place to receive these 9 gifts, as the apostle Paul himself tells us not to be afraid to try and stir up these 9 specific gifts with the Lord.

Here

is the direct verse from our Bible on the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit:“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the

word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the

interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

Slide111

The Word of Knowledge

The Word of Knowledge is simply the Holy Spirit transmitting His specific knowledge to you on something that you would have no ability or means to be able to know about with your own limited intelligence and knowledge levels.

It is supernatural knowledge and insight being given directly to you by the Holy Spirit Himself, not by your own mind or your own intelligence levels.

These words of knowledge that you can receive direct from the Holy Spirit can literally cover an infinite number of things in your daily life

. Here are a few examples. The cause of a sickness.Details of an issue you know nothing about Knowledge on what a certain Scripture verse may mean and how it can apply to your own personal life. How to properly witness to an unsaved family member. How to solve a marital dispute. Who God wants you to marry in this life. How to counsel someone who has just had an impending tragedy hit them full force. What your specific calling in the Lord is going to be in this life.

Word of knowledge that God wants to heal someone of a specific illness.

Slide112

The Word of Wisdom

This next gift at times will work in conjunction with the word of knowledge. Sometimes all you need is a direct word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit and it will completely solve the problem or dilemma you are dealing with.

However, there will be other times that a word of knowledge will not be quite enough to solve the problem. This is where you will now need a word of wisdom. A word of wisdom will give you the ability to be able to properly apply the knowledge that you may already have on a particular situation

.

Knowledge is information. Wisdom is the ability to put knowledge into practice. Holy Spirit will give words of wisdom that bring understanding on how to do something.

Slide113

The Gift of Prophecy

This next gift may just be the greatest of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit. The reason I say this is because the apostle Paul,

,

purposely singles out this gift when telling you to seek after the spiritual gifts

.He says in 1Co_14:1 Follow after love, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may

prophesy.“But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.” (1 Corinthians 14:4)Prophecies from the Lord can cover an extremely wide range of situations and issues, covering everything from predicting future events like they use to do in the OT, to giving someone counsel, encouragement, confirmation, instruction, and possible correction when it may be needed. All of a sudden the Holy Spirit will give you a direct, clear, prophetic word to give to someone else. You speak out the word to this person and then you will be done with it. It might be a very short word and it really does not need to be recorded or written down. Many times prophecy is also used to help confirm what has already been given to the person earlier on by the Lord. Sometimes God will confirm for you what He has already told you earlier so you will know that it really was Him all along giving you that specific message. When the prophecy is longer it is good to right it down.Slide114

Also, all prophecy needs to be properly tested, as the Bible tells us that there will always be false prophets walking among us, along with the possibility of well-meaning believers prophesying out of their own imaginations. Here is the verse giving us this direct warning

:

“Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21

)

All prophecy always needs to line up with Scripture. If it does not, it should be immediately rejected. God will never go against His own Word when delivering a prophetic word to someone.Again, any believer can have the Lord manifest this gift through them at anytime that He will want to do so. You do not have to hold the actual office of a prophet in order for God to manifest this gift through you from time to time. The Bible tells us that in the latter days God will be pouring out His Holy Spirit upon all flesh and when He does, it says our sons and daughters will be prophesying. This means that there are going to be many believers who are going to be getting this gift manifesting through them with a lot of frequency in the coming years. When Paul says in the above two verses to “desire earnestly to prophesy” and to “desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy,” you know that this is something that the Lord would really like to do more of with His children. Slide115

The Gift of Faith

This

next gift, the gift of faith, is something that comes directly from the Holy Spirit.

The Bible tells us that we all have a certain measure of faith that has already been given to us by the Lord. God has to give each person a certain measure of faith or we would not be able to get saved, as the Bible tells us that we are saved by “

faith” through grace. And then over the course of our walks with the Lord, our faith will continue to grow to higher levels as we continue to draw closer to the Lord in our own personal relationship with Him and increase our knowledge levels about Him through the study of Scripture.

However, there will be times that our own levels of faith in the Lord will not be enough to get the job done with what He may be asking us to do for Him. Here is an example:Say God has been manifesting the gift of healing through you from time to time to heal a few minor ailments or illnesses on a few people.Your confidence and faith levels are then starting to build up because God is now starting to use you in this manner and you now have had a few good successes on these smaller illnesses. Slide116

But then all of a sudden God tells you to walk up to a cripple,

lay hands on him, and then command him to get out of his wheelchair and start walking

.

All of a sudden you can immediately sense in your mind and in your spirit that your own levels of faith are not going to be good enough or high enough to try and do this, as you have never tried to heal someone of something this heavy before

.And this is where the Holy Spirit will now be moving in big time so this miracle can be fully accomplished for the Lord. The Holy Spirit will then manifest His own divine faith right up into you so you can now believe and operate on that faith – so you will now have the actual courage to walk up to this person, lay hands on him, and then tell him to get out of that wheelchair and start walking. Sometimes God may ask you to do something that will be out of your comfort zone. Fear and panic

could immediately set in because you have never done what He is now asking you to do.If and when this should ever happen to you, just ask the Holy Spirit to manifest His faith, courage, and boldness up in you so you will have His faith, strength, and courage to do what God is asking you to do for Him.The gift of faith is for the times a supernatural faith to believe Yahweh God for something that is humanly impossible. Slide117

The Working of Miracles

Some Bible

Dictionaries describe the word miracle as the following:

An intervention in the natural universe by God

A phenomena that transcends natural laws A divine act by which God reveals Himself to peopleThese acts of the Spirit are supernatural displays of God’s power doing things impossible for man.

Examples of actual miracles from the Bible are the following: Jesus and the apostles healing and casting demons out of people. Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding of Cana. Jesus feeding 5000 people by multiplying 5 loaves of bread and two fish. God parting the Red Sea for Moses and the children of Israel. Daniel not being eaten by the lions in the lion’s den. Peter walking on water. Slide118

Study the Bible

from

start to finish,

you will see

literally one miracle after another with both God the Father and Jesus Christ. Our God is a miracle-working God and He still loves to do them for His people. The Bible says that Yahweh does not change, and if both Him and Jesus were constantly doing miracles in both the OT and NT, then Yahweh will also be doing miracles in our day and age

. He is looking for a people to believe Him. Do not be afraid of this gift from the Lord, and do not quench the Holy Spirit with any lack of faith or unbelief Pray and believe. Speak to the mountain and watch it move.Remember, the Bible tells us that absolutely nothing is impossible with God, which will include any divine miracle that He wants to perform. Slide119

The Discerning of Spirits

This next gift is

is really needed in the dangerous and perilous times that we are now living in

. Notice that there is an “s” in the word “spirits” is with a small “s.” This means that it is not referring to the Holy Spirit. The only other spirits that are out there that this gift is referring to are the following three kinds of spirits: Demonic spirits

God’s angels Human spiritsWhat happens in this gift is that the Holy Spirit will give you supernatural discernment, insight, and knowledge involving these three kinds of spirits. Many times, this gift will expose what is really going on and operating behind the scenes with someone. Slide120

Look at the way this gift works : A

) Demonic Spirits – with demonic spirits still being allowed to roam in the air and interact with us to some degree in this life, we really need this gift in full operation today just to handle this one type of bad evil spirit.

Many

times demons can literally enter into a person’s body if they have the appropriate legal rights to be able to do so. But once they are in someone’s body, they will

often try and hide and not show themselves. They know if they get caught and exposed on the inside of that person’s’ body, they risk that person either finding Jesus if they are not saved yet, or if it is a Christian, that this person will then seek out a deliverance from another believer

. Of course in places where the enemy is worshiped openly the work of demons is apparent and out in the open. The Holy Spirit will operate this gift to help us expose the demons for there kind.Holy Spirit will show us how they work against human beings. Combined with the Word of Knowledge (how they came in),Word of wisdom (how to engage in the battle) and the Gift of Miracles (God’s power to enforce a believers words in Jesus Name) we can engage the enemy and expose him and force him to leave people. Slide121

Yahweh will even work through our natural senses of sight, smell touch and hearing to show us what needs to be done.

Heb

5:13 For everyone partaking of milk is unskillful in the Word of Righteousness, for he is an infant.

Heb

5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, even those who because of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The word of God says that we should hear God speak to us. Joh_10:27

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow MeOther times you will just know inside what kind of demon you are dealing with. This is explained in the following scripture.1Jn 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. Slide122

B) God’s Angels – The Bible tells us that God’s angels are also spirit beings. They are ministering spirits.

Heb

1:13 But to which of the angels, did He say at any time, "Sit on My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool?"

Heb

1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation? Throughout history God’s angels have appeared to people many times. The Bible is full of these kinds of stories from the Virgin Mary, to Daniel, to the apostle John in the Book of Revelation. However, the Bible also warns us that Satan and his demons can appear to us as angels of light. As a result, you will need proper discernment from the Holy Spirit if an angel were to ever appear to you

. Many false religions have examples of demons appearing as angels of light. If an angel were appear to you, the first thing you will need to do is properly test it out. 1 John tells us exactly how to do this. Here is the verse:Slide123

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, BUT TEST THE SPIRITS, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.

And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:1-4)

Slide124

This means is that you directly ask the angel to identify who his Lord and Master is.

He must say

that it is Jesus Christ. Then you ask him to confess to you that Jesus Christ has come to our earth in the flesh

.

If the angel will not make this direct confession to you that Jesus Christ has already come to our earth in the flesh, then you are dealing with a fallen angel or demon imitating an angel of light. At this point, you should command the demon to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ.

If the angel is sent from the Lord he will say that Jesus Christ is Lord and is God who came to earth as a Man. We need to be open to receive from Yahweh whil absolutely denying the enemy. Mat_10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Slide125

C) Human Spirits – in addition to angels and demonic spirits, the third kind of spirit this gift is referring to is just our own human spirits. For instance, someone could

be proud or mean and arrogant. Rejection, hurts and wounds can create this agreement with darkness.

There are people who have evil intent towards God’s people. The Holy Spirit can show us the plans of the enemy through people. He can reveal to us the wolf in sheep's clothing.

Keep in mind our attitude towards these people is love and intercession.

Mat_5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you’

We have to listen to the Holy Spirit. We pray but we may not invite them into our homes or share great details of our life with them. I may forgive a thief. I will not give him my wallet. Yahweh our Father is very protective over His own, and He will not hesitate to have His Holy Spirit give you major warning signals if bad and evil who is planning to harm you, or any of your close friends or family members.Slide126

Different Kinds of Tongues

The gift of tongues is simply the Holy Spirit giving you the supernatural ability to speak in a foreign tongue that you have no knowledge or ability to speak out on your own.

There are two types of tongues He can give you. One is a tongue of this earth. For instance, if your native language is

Nepalese,

then He can give you the ability to speak in Chinese, Japanese, English or any other language you do not know. Act 2:4 And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Act 2:5 And dwelling at Jerusalem there were Jews, devout men out of every nation under heaven. Act 2:6 But this sound occurring, the multitude came together and were confounded, because they each heard them speaking in his own dialect. The other type of tongue that He can give you is a tongue direct from heaven, a heavenly language that is not of this earth.1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I have become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. Slide127

Both events will be a foreign language that you will not be able to speak out on your own, and only the Holy Spirit’s supernatural

pouring out

of this

from your

spirit will give you the ability to be able to speak this language out.And whatever tongue the Holy Spirit will give you, you will be able to use it 24/7, whenever you want. It will be your own personal, private, prayer language between you and the Lord. This part of the gift of diverse tongues is what Paul describes as a mystery.1Co_14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. For no one hears, but in spirit he speaks mysteries

. This is where the Holy Spirit prays for us and through us the perfect will of God. Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Rom 8:27 And He searching the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Slide128

This gift helps us to be obedient to the following verse. We can pray in the spirit at any time we are not using our mouth for another purpose such as talking or eating.

Eph_6:18

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

In Jude we are told to build our Faith praying in the Spirit.

Jud 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Jud 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, eagerly awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to everlasting life. Paul said praying in tongues edifies or builds up the man. 1Co_14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. Slide129

There are times when the gift of tongues is operated in a church service. A man who is baptized in the Holy Spirit and prays in tongues can pray at any time. In Church this must be done in order. In this setting the Holy Spirit not only brings the Gift of tongues but also the urgency to speak. A man can not just decide to bring forth a tongue in this manner. This kind of tongue brings a message to the Body of Christ . God is now speaking to His people in an unknown tongue. When this happens The Lord will operate the gift of Interpretation in someone in the church body. Sometimes it is the same person who gave the tongue (message). If there is no

interpetation

the message did not come from God.

1Co_14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

I have been in services where it becomes completely quiet. Not even babies cry. Someone then give a word. Then comes the interpretation. Holy Spirit will bear witness. Remember we are to let Yahweh do all he wants to do

. He does want us to test all thingsSlide130

Tongues can also be a sign for an unbeliever. As in Acts Chapter Two unknown tongues can be spoken so that God would be made large in an unbelievers eyes.

“Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers…” (1 Corinthians 14:22

)

Sometimes led by the Holy Spirit we may teach those in the Church who have not been taught by letting them here us pray in a personal witness.

A note about order. This Gift of the Holy Spirit which is Pure and Holy can misused. Pauls instructions in !

rst Corinthians are about misuse.Remember the Gift is to build and not tear down the Church.Amongst believers who understand the gift all could pray together in tongues and be in order. If unlearned believers are present we must teach them. 1Co 14:23 Therefore if the whole church has come together, and all speak in languages, and if uninstructed ones or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you rave? Slide131

It would not be right to go into a church that does not allow the gift to operate and pray in tongues loudly. When you have this gift you can pray in tongues quietly and softly expressing the will of God wherever you are. Always remember that the only two types of people in the world are saved or unsaved.

There are no caste in Christ. No one is better. By Grace we are saved. By Grace we are taught by the Holy Spirit. By Grace we receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the Gifts He brings.

Times to Pray in Tongues

Pray when you feel good.

Pray when you do not.Pray when you are strong.Pray when you feel weak.Pray in the victory.

Pray when in danger.Pray when you need to here from Yahweh ,then listen.Pray when ministering to the sick and when doing deliverance.Slide132

This a very powerful prayer tool to have in your own arsenal since you are opening yourself up direct to the Holy Spirit and His ability to perfectly pray to God the Father.

You are joining forces with the third Person of the Trinity who is God and Lord Himself, who is the Master Prayer and Intercessor with God the Father.

“Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.” (1 Corinthians 14:39-40)

Slide133

The Interpretation of Tongues

“If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God.” (1 Corinthians 14: 27-28)

“Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.” (1 Corinthians 14:13-14

)e first verse has to do with others interpreting a tongue when it is done in a church service. The second verse is showing you that the Holy Spirit can give you the interpretation of your own tongue as you are praying in it all by yourself.

This gift goes with the gift of tongues not only in a church service but in any gathering of Saints. Mat_18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them . Slide134

IN CONCLUSION

1Co_12:31 But

covet

earnestly the best gifts: and yet

shew I unto you a more excellent way. 1Co_14:39 Wherefore, brethren,

covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Slide135

BATTLE AND RECIEVING Slide136

Hindrances to the Baptism of The Holy Spirit:

Unbelief,doubt

-UNBELIEF while not yielding one's self to the direction and leading of the Spirit The person who comes forward to receive the Holy Ghost, while harboring doubts in his heart, can go away unfilled. Personal reservations as to the validity of the experience will almost surely prevent the seeker from receiving this glorious experience. If one is not sure something is real or for them, they will never pursue and realize the end result! Slide137

The problem is doubt is removed when we embrace and believe God's WORD when it comes to our pursuit of the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Unbelief was Israel's problem in accepting the power that Christ performed His miracles was from God. Many times the Pharisees accused Christ of performing miracles by the power of Satan instead of the power by which He performed these miracles - the Holy Ghost.Slide138

Interdependent not co.)Slide139

He is the Loving Father of our souls who wants us to turn TO HIM with our every living need.Slide140
